# China’s Soybean Buying Meets a Weather-Exposed U.S. Crop

### U.S. soybeans: a large Chinese sale against a lower yield narrative

USDA reported 488,000 metric tons of 2026/27 soybeans sold to China and another 136,150 metric tons to unknown destinations—about 624,000 tons in total. Pro Farmer described the sale as materially larger than the recent two-cargo cadence, but said traders need repeated purchases before treating it as evidence that China will follow through on its much larger buying target. Before spraying, identify the disease and check water conditioning, coverage volume, application method, and harvest restrictions; bacterial wilts do not have a curative product, while tar spot and southern rust can require control even when they begin below the ear leaf.
