0:05Whoopsie poopsies. I didn't press the button to go live, YouTube. My bad. How's my kick doing? Oh, look at that. I even got two little kickers here. Hey, kicky kick. I hope you I hope you're doing good. How many I got nine viewers. Look at all the Look at all Oh my gosh, there's four. There's three of you guys. Hey, Kiky. Hey, little kicky kick.
0:27I like how if you go onto that, it automatically transfers it there.
0:32Warcraft forever. Stop it. Shut up. Own present. Well, welcome. What kind of tea? Uh, this is Pewware Pew T. You guys ready to do this?
0:41Uh, thank you on Air Mark. I hope you're doing well. Wow. Holy [ __ ] What a combo. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Span reached out and was like, "Yo, I'm doing some vibing. Having a lot of fun. You want to help out?"
0:51And I said, "Yeah, I could help you out. We could talk about this. We're so back." Oh, we're trying. Plays well with my bromance is complete. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Dual bros wielding drinks.
1:07Thank you. Hey, Chronics. How you doing?
1:09Oh, good luck on air mark. That's some quer tea. That is some que.
1:15Wait. Hey, what's up, leg grip?
1:19No yelling. Don't hurt your throat.
1:20That's why if you haven't noticed, talking pretty subdued. Can we all agree? I'm talking pretty dang subdued right now. Have you noticed that? I'm just like not yelling. I'm trying my hardest not to be a yeller. You know what I mean?
1:33Good night. See you. Well, thank you. Uh, what mouse you use? Uh, I'm using an HP mouse right now. Not a gamer. Okay. Carbon Carbani. Appreciate that. Miss the streams. Yeah. Yeah, dude. I miss being in the streams. Uh, this is the worst timeline. Is this He doesn't read YouTube chat yet, I do, but Sans's fine, too. Yeah, Sans's great.
1:57Uh, Prime, how you doing? Oh, how you doing, Later? How you doing, Later?
2:01Thank you. Appreciate that. Hello, Prime. Hi. What? Uh, let's see. When stream on Daily Motion, not really sure what Daily Motion is when it comes to uh streaming. I dare you to use Argon for. Uh, no, I don't want to. I generally have a rule of thumb, which is don't um don't touch Gemini models. Oh, a coding stream. Oh, a coding stream finally. Well, it's going to be a lot of vibing, if that makes any sense.
2:28You know what I mean? It's going to be a lot of vibing. Uh, Rocka Gabriel, thank you. I'm going to be trying to help uh Espen learn how to uh do a little bit of vibing appropriately if if you know what that mean. Vibing is not coding. It's kind of confusing. I'm coming around to some vibing. Definitely made some good progress prompting. I'm pretty good at prompting, I must say. I've been enjoying it lately.
2:58You going to renew your W sub for this dog?
3:03Whatever the [ __ ] his name is. Welcome. I bought a year. Okay, look at this. I even built my own little plugin right there. Look at that little bad boy. I'm I'm running towards Saroth. You like that? cuz I wanted to see like what does it take to build your own. I don't know what this does, but I'm doing it.
3:30Look at that. Oh, by the way, for whatever reason, my bow texture just does not appear. Why aren't you attacking? Okay, I guess that was just like that was good enough that I just didn't I just I didn't want to attack, you know? It's like like I don't want to attack sometimes. It's It's more of a simple, you know. But did you see that sweet bow? I had that sweet arrow.
3:52I don't have a target.
3:55Look at that arrow. You jealous? You jealous of that skin? I mean, that arrow, we could green screen. We could make it. We could make it into something. I could make it into whatever I want, really.
4:12Look at that. See, there you go. I've made it all the way. See, my little my little item just made me get there. Are you guys ready to uh to attack? You have to face the mob. Yeah, I realize that now. Uh gaming encoding about to be so good. It is. Game sound is 150%. Is it too loud?
4:29All right, here we go. I'm going to call Aset now. I told them I'd call him in like five. All right, there we go. Share chat. Yeah, I don't know. I don't know how to share chat here. Uh, what is it? Twitch phone number TV.
5:07I actually don't even know if this will work. He has his Okay, he has his prompting glasses on. You can tell this man is getting very serious. He's very, very serious right now. Oh, you know what I should do? You can do that thing where you do uh with uh you can do a little ad sign.
5:35How's it going, dude? How's your uh how's your throat doing?
5:37Oh, my throat's doing good. Thank you for asking. I appreciate that. I've been doing exercises. A little humming, little bubbles. [laughter] Nice. Nice.
5:46All the things. I I knocked. I don't know what knocking means, but I knocked.
5:56Let's see. How do I answer the door?
6:15All right. How's it going?
6:17Okay. I'm doing good. How are you?
6:19I am doing well. So, apparently you're doing some coding. I had a friend of mine reach out and be like, "Dude, he's doing coding." I'm like, "What is he doing over here?"
6:27Yeah. Yeah. Well, so so I was uh So, here's how it started. I I'm trying to remember how actually the the [music] exact thing that that triggered it. There was like something wrong and I was like, "Man, I wonder if we can just like use AI and GPT get this thing to uh you know, just just get this thing to work." And then I went from like just like asking chat GPT to chat being like, "No, use codeex, no use this, no use that." I'm like, "Hold on, this is way too much." And apparently
6:55like GBT is the wrong answer right now. It's It's I should be using Claude.
7:00First off, we don't call GPT. Just so like if you want to be like up with the nomenclature, you got to call it Jippidity. Okay.
7:06Okay. So, I always call him Chad Gypy.
7:09Jippity. Yeah. Jippity.
7:11Yeah. There you go. It just rolls off the tongue. It's way easier this time.
7:15All right. Um here's here's the real answer for all of the chat hooligans out there.
7:20For what you're building, I honestly don't think it probably matters [music] much what you want, right? Like you can use codec. Like if you're using codeex [music] and you're using soul 61 mid thinking, you're probably fine. If you're jumping over to quad and you're hitting some 55 opus, I mean, you're just paying a lot of money and it's going to be more correct.
7:42But I just don't think that that's like a big issue. You know what I mean?
7:47I don't think that your issue is going to going to be falling under that.
7:50Here, I'll sit at my desk.
7:53Well, no. Look, I'm Look at this. I know how to Oh. Oh, nice. a beautiful office that you have there.
7:58Yeah, thank you. Thank you. Uh, welcome.
7:59I sit next to the bathroom. I have to use it frequently. So, yeah. So do I, actually. Yeah, it gets it gets bad sometimes.
8:06Yeah. Okay. So, so I don't think it matters. You can just choose whatever you want. Um, it does it it truly doesn't matter. Uh, as far as speed goes, your souls are going to be fantastic. Terra's gone.
8:19Terra's been uh taken out back and so you have Luna. So, Codex is fine. Uh, I prefer claw models over codecs. I also use a lot of I think uh cursor is probably like your best bet. Uh, as far as interfaces go because you don't have to open up a terminal to be successful building stuff. It's a little bit more of like a UI for you to kind of click into. And so I find cursor to probably be the most normal of them all. I think chat would probably agree with me that it's probably the easiest of them all to use.
8:49So I'm a little bit behind here. Um, Let's uh for people that might [clears throat] not understand uh exactly all the uh all all the the different what are you what are you saying models?
9:05So these are the different models for models and programs to run them because there's actually like you can run codec or you can run soul inside of cursor and so they're all a little bit different. There's also open code. Now like hold on I guess the real question is do you like to be in the terminal? Do you like to feel kind of like a hacker man? Thus, you're in the terminal, the black screen, hitting the letters, or where are you at on this?
9:28Uh, yeah. I think that's cool.
9:31[laughter] Resounding answer. I love it. Absolutely fantastic.
9:36Yeah, that's neat. That's pretty neat.
9:38Uh, okay. Okay. So, what I guess before we begin, what has been your setup so far? Let's let's talk about that.
9:46Okay. So, so this is what I have. I have a I chat gypy and uh I'm using codeex to let's see I made a so basically I made a project and my my project folder is just my add-on folder for the WoW forever beta.
10:07And I so anything I make it automatically just like I just have to reload the game and it just auto like slashreload and then it just loads the add-on in is how is how I have it set up.
10:16Okay. And then you just you go to like chatgpt.com. You type in what you want and then you like sync a file between an internet and I downloaded the I downloaded the app.
10:28Okay. Okay. Then you're probably you're fine. You don't you don't need to be getting anything beyond that. If you already have the app, that's probably good enough.
10:36Like I would just start there because honestly your life will be pretty nice if you start there and you work your way.
10:42Okay. Uh the big thing you're going to want to start with is using like pull can you whip out whip whip out your codecs for a quick second or whatever whatever the app's called. I forget what the desktop app is called. You should definitely consider getting um you should definitely consider initializing git. So go in there.
11:02I think I have Okay, good.
11:04I'm just I'm just going to type right now.
11:07Yeah, just go like this. Hey, is my just be like, are my WOW plugins like in version control?
11:15Oh, okay. I think we did that. Are my WOW plugins?
11:17Dude, you got a you have a good audience. They're they're leading you the right direction already.
11:22Yeah, they're uh almost as smart as I am. [clears throat] Resound, man. This is amazing how how many half commitments this this place has. [laughter] Okay. Yeah, let's see the answer to this because I think this is this is uh pretty important cuz normally I would say definitely get Neo Vim uh learn Vim motions for a month and then you can get started but I don't I think we should probably go a little bit faster.
11:53Hey, would do you want me to, by the way, do you want me to turn on my camera in Discord or anything for you? I wonder if it'd be easier to share screen.
12:03The only thing that's nicer for that is that there's less lag. So when you change your I don't have to wait for the whatever x seconds of Twitch to catch up to what you're typing.
12:11Yeah. Yeah. Let's do that.
12:17Oh yeah. That's beautiful. There we go.
12:19Okay. So it looks like each one of your add-ons is their own git uh version. I I I guess like you know some people like their cucumbers pickled here. Uh it really doesn't matter which way you go.
12:30I I feel like it'd just be easier to have a singular uh plugin. Oh, some people are saying, "Oh, I need that. I need or a singular version version control, but that's fine. You can have each individual one." Are you storing them anywhere or is it all just uh just locally?
12:46It's just It's just local, which is probably I'm I'm assuming that's a bad idea.
12:51It's not a terrible idea. It's just really nice when uh if you want to switch computers or if that computer just happens to go away, you know, it is nice to have that as an option.
13:03Mhm. So, hey, uh, some people said I'm quiet for you. Is that on my end or your end?
13:08No, I turned you out. Maybe it was my bad. I'm I'm uh I don't I don't know how audio works. Eight years into this game and I'm still not sure exactly how audio works. [laughter] Yeah. Yeah. I don't think anybody ever really figures it out.
13:20No, no, no. I I It's not a solved problem, at least in Windows.
13:25All right. Uh, okay. So, I think you're actually in a pretty good spot. You got You got version control. you got what you wanted. You're using a a good enough app. You're using 61 soul on high. Like, I mean, those are all the right all the right beginner steps.
13:42And so, you're you're pretty much primed and ready to go.
13:45What are you trying to build?
13:49Um, so, okay. So, I I want to make an add-on. I I was kind of doing some brainstorming a little bit earlier and I'm like we should we should make something kind of funny but not too funny.
14:04I kind of want to know not too funny just kind of funny. Uh almost funny is is what I what I call I I call almost funny not too serious but something that maybe maybe this is something that people will actually like to have and we could just put it out there and people can actually download it.
14:20Okay. Okay. That's that's that's pretty easy to do, especially if you're already using Git. You can create a quick GitHub, push it up there, and people can clone it down if they'd like to. So, all the stuff pretty easy.
14:31And they have they well they have like uh they have Curse Forge to download add-ons.
14:35Oh, even better. Yeah.
14:36Make an account and just upload it there.
14:38Okay. Yeah. I don't know how Curse Forge works, but I assume it's probably like GitHub, but just stays running longer. And so that's probably it's probably a pretty good experience. I don't know what the upload looks like, though. There must be a publish script.
14:51What what do they have? Do they have pubcript? Do they actually allow you to use git? What do what do they use for uploading packages?
14:58I think I know there's an approval process. So chat, do you guys know perhaps GitHub can connect to cursor?
15:05Okay. So yeah, because cursor is like their it's like the client that people use to just like click download stuff for for the different add-ons.
15:13And I think I think it's for Minecraft too actually, right?
15:16Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. My Yeah. I I have it on my computer and so I know it exists for that. I've never just tried to put anything on it.
15:24Okay. So, yeah, that's fine. Curse forge. Perfect. You got yourself distribution. You have yourself. It's really just the idea now. And now you're going to discover a very very important aspect to life, which is that the the the biggest visionaries that have ever existed on Earth, 99.9% [clears throat] of the time have terrible ideas. And so, now this is where it gets really difficult is you got to figure out how to get that 0.1% idea coming out.
15:49Okay, that's beautiful.
15:51Yeah, we got to we go ahead. So, we got to get the 0.1% idea.
15:54Um, so the only way to do that or I think the best way to do that is probably Chat, what do you guys think? [laughter] Chat, what is it? What's the What's the plan here?
16:06What's What's the idea? What's the million dollar idea? Chat, at least the million penny idea. What is it going to be?
16:12Yeah. What's the million penny idea going to be, chat?
16:18Because that's the thing is I don't play a lot of uh a wild social network. You could definitely have that.
16:24Wow. Social network. Okay.
16:27Wow. Social network. I mean they see they kind of have that in the game, but maybe we can use things within the game's API to like enhance it somehow. So, let let's see if I if I go um and I was telling chat earlier a little bit you've you've played a little bit of WoW, but not a whole lot.
16:49Yes, that's true. I have a I have a little bit of Astro ultra fast left and so I can just ask like what is available in the game. Like a good thing to do is before you jump in, ask like what APIs are available or what Lua like what to what like how much can you interact with the game with Lua?
17:08Okay, full with Lua. Um, there we go. And so I should we should be able to like get a decent kind of read on what's available
17:26because I'm sure there's I'm sure there's a lot. But it's a good place to start is like first you got to come up with what is the thing you know like what is the availability so that way you know your box gets smaller so you're not like thinking of a great idea and then turns out it's not even available.
17:39All right. So what is the uh what is the what is the uh social network that's available? I didn't realize that there was a social network in WoW these days. There's like some sort of online it's kind of like that. I mean they actually just added Discord integration which is kind of crazy.
17:56You can just straight load Discord into it. But let me see. Let me let me load up the game here.
18:03Is it really that crazy to try DJ's new language?
18:06I mean, I think it's crazy that you can you can get Twitch chat inside of WoW pretty easily like Yeah. Well, of course. I assume I Well, let's actually here. We'll ask um what let's see uh do we have HTTP uh utilities available in Lua in WoW? There we go. Because if if you can make HTTP calls, then you can go in there. Sorry, I'm getting some finishing a quest just then. Uh if you can get Oh,
18:36what server? What server are you on?
18:38Uh that I don't actually even know. I just said PvP and then I didn't I didn't try to do anything beyond that just because I wanted to at least have a character to test something because I I built this little I just said, "Hey, you know, Questy has a bunch of information. go and make my own quest plugin. So, I can just click on something and it just like works and it tells me where to go. And so, I'm like happy. I was happy with that cuz I wanted to at least like build one thing before I play around, you know, before I talk to anybody about it.
19:06Let's see. You can't do HTTP request inside of WOW plugin. I don't believe you.
19:10It's Lua. No, let's see. No, let's see. Wow add-on. No general HTTP and HPS client or socket access. Uh, you cannot call REST API, open a websocket, or connect to local hosts. really cuz I think I think they limit it quite a bit.
19:25They they they do a lot of like a normal Lua. Can you read a file?
19:31Okay, cuz remember the basics.
19:33A file is technically on at least on Linux a file in a socket. They're very very similar. Let's see. You cannot arbitrarily read files. Okay, there's no IO open. That's okay. File browsing or ability to uh pull a JSON text file. Dang it. That was my idea. Okay, let's see.
19:51saved variables restored by wow and loads. Okay, interesting. So, how do people there has let's see external programs write data to LUA data L tables. Okay, so you have to run reload.
20:04There's no way to get your stuff updated without running reload. Can you update um your plugin without running reload? Can I set the uh Lua module to nil? So Lua works by loading a bunch of modules and so you can actually go to the Lua module loader and if you call require it loads it into memory and if you call typically how people do it at least in Neovim by the way is that you delete the module and then it will automatically reload
20:34it. So it kind of gives you this live reloading feel. So if you could set the module to nil you could theoretically do that but I may be barking up the wrong tree here.
20:45Okay. Um, okay. It doesn't do that.
20:49Okay. You can't do that. Okay. Doesn't give you hot disc reloading. Interesting. Okay. So, paste and apply console while has load string which compiles Lua text directly in memory.
21:17Interesting. Interesting.
21:22Whoopsies. Uh, how can we Okay, so what what what do you want to build? Okay, I sorry. I'm I'm I'm really in I sorry now I'm down the rabbit hole where I want to defeat this, but I realized Well, no, no. I'm I'm down like I'm super into this stuff. So like like just just trying to learn out like learn how to do like all the sort of nittygritty whatever it is. Like I'm I'm okay.
21:42I'm I'm on your time today. That's how that's how I feel.
21:46All right. So, I have I'm very curious.
21:48Let me just ask one more question. Can you uh require a file, let's see, that hasn't uh been required by your plugin or do you have to load the whole thing up front?
22:01Cuz this is going to be kind of a bit of a crazy idea.
22:05If this doesn't work, I'll be sad. But if this does work, hear me out. What if we made a file that updates every 5 seconds and it becomes a new file constantly incrementing a number?
22:19Oh, and then you slowly keep on requiring in new files and those files have been filled with Twitch chat.
22:24You could theoretically bring it in. You could bring it in. You know what I mean?
22:28Yeah, you just you would just have some kind of a uh you you'd have like a little bit of a delay, but you'd I mean it would work.
22:34Yes, they do. So apparently you don't have to load the whole project at lock in while supports a deferred loading on add-on level for individual files not imported yet and not loaded yet are different. Okay. A file list in the add-on executes when the add-on loads forever imports. Okay. Calling import for the first time uh later doesn't read the new file from disk. Damn it.
22:57Okay. That was okay.
22:58What? Oh frick. That was such a good idea.
23:01I thought I had it. I thought I had it. Okay. Okay. So, it it looks like it looks like you can't quite uh do that, but apparently people are saying there's there are some other things like raider IO and trade skill master.
23:12Okay. Can you explain what uh Raider IO and trade skill master are for WoW plugins?
23:20Because Raider IO, I'm just throwing it out there. Says the word IO, input output, kind of feels like we're going to be able to do some sort of uh calling in and out of things because Questy somehow does, right? Like isn't there some sort of external database that or do you just download a database? I don't really know how it works.
23:37Um so there's I mean they have all these kinds of weird different integrations like I know they can like with with Raider IO you basically like upload well I don't know it's Raider IO.
23:51I know Warcraft logs does this like you can you can have like your logs for like your boss fights, whatever, and then you like upload a lot of data and then you can actually go and actually I should show you this. Let me let me Oh, I'm getting TTS. Oh, actually, wait. That's a good idea. Um, let me just show you this how Warcraft logs works.
24:18Uh, let's see. Actually, one second. See?
24:28Okay. So, re reload really is the Okay, so we cannot do a dynamic item.
24:33So, I think it's probably pretty It looks like you there's all these companion apps and everything uh all have some sort of like extra thing they do, but none of them quite have It looks like you can't you can't just do some sort of socket. Okay, so that's disappointing, but I get it. It would be a massive like you can't just read files. It's very very obvious why you can't read files. If you just read files, you could see that somebody would go onto your computer and start reading files. And if they get the right files read, they could get your, you know, your codeex tokens, you know, your your
25:03API tokens. And by having your API token, they can go off and do a distillation attack on these frontier providers and then boom, you're you're suspended, right?
25:15Then you get effed. Just you. It's just over at that point because who knows whenever uh whenever you're actually going to get support to to read your email. It's all it's all just AI responses. Just everything's automated now.
25:27Okay. So, oh, someone's telling me I'm Oh my gosh. Here. Let me get out of here.
25:34So, I'm going to Scorpions here.
25:37[snorts] I will screen share with you.
25:41All right. how Warcraft logs works. And maybe this is uh this real quick.
26:08I am okay. Do you see Do you see Firefox?
26:18I sort of Yeah. Yeah, it looks good.
26:21Okay. So, if I go and Oh, I think I'm on the wrong one. So, if I go here and let's just look at like my character. Okay. I can go and look up like one of these fights.
26:45And if I do actually, let's do this. I'm I'm going to show you one that has like a lot of movement to it.
26:56Sure. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
27:01So, this is a uh Grul the Dragon Slayer is one of the bosses, one of the early bosses in Burning Crusade. Uh this would be like a log that shows like all shows like all the data. This is like how much this is like how you do compared to everybody else. And you can like click on it and see. Let me see what data it actually shows.
27:25Okay, so it's like how much damage you do, like total amount of damage. um your your uptime, how much DPS, all that. But also, it gets like you you can get like really really into it.
27:38Yeah. You see the different attacks, how much damage different attacks do, all kinds of stuff. You can see how much damage they've taken, how much healing people have done, uh the amount of threat. Now, this is on my guys. So, my guy is uh what is this threat for? I don't know. I haven't seen that one. But but like buff up time, tons of stuff, tons of data.
27:56But even so much as Yeah. So, so you can even go to replay and they even have data in Warcraft logs and I can I can like replay a fight. It's like not loading the background, but it should show the map. Like I don't know if it's like a Firefox issue or what, but uh it has like logs here that shows how much damage everybody's doing.
28:19And normally it shows the background. I don't know why it's not showing the background.
28:22Okay. But it shows the it shows whatever the 2D map is, right? And yeah, so it's like a 2D map and it shows like the boss here and then it shows every person. I can like click on my guy here and it's my guy. So I can actually see like where I'm like my exact position, exact location. So all this stuff can be logged, but this is like you you can log this and then upload it using a third party client to Warcraft logs. So this is not done with an add-on, I don't
28:51think. chat, do you guys know do you need an add-on for Warcraft logs or I I don't think you need an add-on. I think it just takes like a text file that it writes to and it's just it's basically all just like I don't know like metadata that that covers all this stuff.
29:05Okay, so somehow it's getting this information out of Warcraft and writing it to a file. Here, let me just look this up uh just so I understand this. Uh can you write to a file uh to save logs within a Warcraft? Because I'm just curious how their uh world I'm actually curious about it being completely unrelated. Yeah, like for for all I know, it could it could be completely unrelated.
29:28Yeah, but it could be learn from this.
29:31Well, it could also I I mean I thought you were actually trying to build a plugin using that because maybe while you're in a dungeon, you want to have a little bit of a live replay and see how you're doing against yourself. You could ghost run yourself kind of like in Mario.
29:43That would be sick actually if you could do something like that.
29:45Yeah. No, let's see. Okay, let's see.
29:49Log should be capped to avoid growing indefinitely. Okay, let's see. Okay, so there is apparently some sort of logging thing. I mean, there has to be some sort of logging. Let's see. Yes, add-ons can save custom logs through saved variables. While writes them to disk on reload or normal log out rather than immediately. Okay, so it buffers everything you write and then it must write this all when you log out and then when you log out, you must have some secondary program with this while logs and then it uploads those logs and add it to your character. Correct.
30:18Okay. So, this is all self-reported data. So, theoretically, you could kind of you could manipulate it by hand and you'd be the best player in the universe. Is that Yeah, they they have a way to stop that from happening.
30:29But technic Yeah, because it'll it'll show like like I think it just shows like how it was saved or how it was logged.
30:36Like it'll be like oh this like it has like some kind of signature whenever it's comes straight from the client.
30:40Okay, that makes sense.
30:43All right. So then let's see an external program can then read it. Okay, so this makes sense. So if this data so theoretically if you if you're trying to think about like how would you bring this into Warcraft? This is kind of how I would think about it which is step one what data is available to you from this site. Step two is what data is available uh for you within the game and then three how do we sync these movements?
31:10Because I assume there's like some downtime. Is it just particularly only focused in on a boss fight when it starts and when it ends? I'm not really sure if you get the signal that you are now within like some sort of raid boss fight or is that because or is that just like the total time in dungeon because it looks like that was 1 hour and 50 minutes. Is that what I'm looking at that graph right now?
31:29This is Let me see this.
31:31Can chat see that by the way?
31:33Yeah, they can see it. Does this does this freak out for you whenever I'm whenever I'm resizing the window by the way?
31:38No, it's pretty it's it's fine.
31:40Okay. Um I I'm I'm doing a screen share and and my camera separate by the way in Discord if it's easier for you.
31:47Nice. Yes. Yeah, I did see that.
31:49Okay. Um so this shows this is this is just the boss fight specifically this boss fight that we're looking at.
31:57But like there's other logs that shows like I mean it show like everything for example like all encounters and trash fights and you know this is like all the downtime here you see and this would be like a what is this like probably four hour raid. three and a like three and a half hours.
32:11Okay, so it does look like combat events are in WoW API. Are combat events in WoW API?
32:18Uh I pay I I just pay for like the this expensive one because I wanted to see what people how often or how fast it really is. But as you can see, like this one's just ridiculously fast. I would not recommend actually using it because it kind of produces garbage code, but it's so fast it's fun to do research with. Um, okay. So, you can get like, hey, what it tells you, you've entered in combat. I wonder if there's more about it. Um, unit health, unit aura, encountered start, a tracked boss
32:47encounter began or ended. Okay, so you do have like a a decent amount of information that you can listen to. You can listen to what type of event, if this is happening, hey, you're entering combat, you're leaving combat. The big limitation is detailed uh combat log.
33:02Older add-on examples use combat log event unfiltered uh to read damage, healing sources, targets or spells on forever. Those combat log events are restricted and the event reader is in secure only environment. Ordinary add-on lu cannot use old unrestricted feed.
33:21Why would they do that?
33:22Yeah, they've changed they've changed a lot of stuff. So the the main version of the game that I play is I play I play classic like vanilla and burning crusades. There's like a two version of the game. So, um, those games have a different API.
33:38Actually, they just changed their they basically just they did like a big like UI overhaul recently on Burning Crusade to to ma It doesn't match the retail API, but it's like they they upgraded it. They actually downgraded it by upgrading it. It was like one of those things.
33:55Yeah. So, they did that recently. So, they had to redo a bunch of add-ons, but on retail WoW and what they're basing the API off of for WoW Forever, there's a ton more restrictions because basically people got too good at making add-ons that essentially played the game for you too much. They didn't want to have people that were um like there's all these mechanics and all these encounters and they didn't want to have people just like not having to really play the game and it telling them exactly, hey, do this, hey, do that.
34:23Can I time out? Can I just ask you a quick question? Isn't that what wow retail is?
34:30Okay. So now now Okay, this so they don't want to do what they do.
34:35Like isn't that like the whole the whole thing?
34:38It it's so funny that you say that because it was like a whole like it was super controversial whenever they did this because you're right and I remember this is what I said. They they are worried. Okay, so this this is what they're worried about.
34:50They're worried that like, oh, you need add-ons to play the game. And it ends up being such a big barrier of entry and and people think that, oh, I'm going to play WoW, I have to get all these add-ons. What do I do? I can't play the game unless I download this, this, this. I can't raid until I download this, this, this. And they thought that that was something that was bad for the game.
35:08And to be fair, I I think I think there's there's some logic there that's reasonable.
35:14Yeah. But when it comes to player behavior, I don't think add-ons were keeping people from playing the game.
35:21And this is what a lot of the the counterargument was because at the point in which you are at that point where you're rating so seriously and like mythic rating and retail and you're you're like really get into getting into it, the barrier of entry is not getting the add-ons because you you've already you're already so invested that you're going to do that because because you're trying you're going to to do the thing that you need to do to do the next step.
35:40It's not like at the very beginning whenever you're just downloading the game and creating a character that these are things these these are um like pain points that you have to deal with. So that's kind of like a counterargument for it. So and also this is also the the people that are currently playing the game this is also how they have been playing the game exactly like you said.
35:59So why are you doing something that is going to change the game from your current audience of people? The only reason they would do that is to hopefully appeal to more people. But is the game really even going to do that?
36:10Who knows? So yeah, that's kind of like the whole It's It's just so funny that you say that cuz that's like you basically hit the nail on the head for like the counter argument against it.
36:19Now for forever for CL like Forever is classic plus that you know they're trying to remake classic and a lot of people are like well why don't they use the classic API? But it's a I actually do think it's a good idea to keep the API as restricted as possible as as as restricted as they would want it to be right now because the game is just now coming out. Like it's it's coming out November 4th and it's like okay we're early on. People aren't used
36:48to doing things a certain way in this version of the game specifically. So make the limitations high now and then you can loosen it up down the road instead of the opposite whenever they were making the game originally in 2004 and they realized they had to keep changing stuff and keep adding more and more restrictions.
37:04Okay. I I uh to be completely honest with you I don't really follow the logic of all that. Uh it's just kind of like hey do you want to do the calculations by hand or with a computer? And so people are going to figure I just assume whatever the capacity situation is will be figured out within like 12 minutes.
37:19So it's like you want in 12 minutes or 1 minute. It doesn't really seem like it uh it doesn't really matter at all. Uh so that's that's very silly very silly of them to do such a thing.
37:29So it really just depends now. So someone someone did give like a crazy idea which is which is that apparently you might be able to hack the clipboard. Uh, can you paste uh this on can you uh paste Oh, with clipboard in WoW.
37:52Okay, because I'm just curious. There could be a Let's see. Uh, you paste into a focus text box supported. The add-on reads the clipboard directly or triggers the paste itself. No general API. The add-on processed pasted data immediately. Okay.
38:08Okay. Uh, can you can you uh can you read the uh the clipboard without needing uh a window uh text input? Okay, this will quickly get banned by the way if this actually works. No. Damn. Okay, that that [laughter] that would I mean that would be the one. This is the one.
38:33Uh because that'd be great. Uh, can you focus and unfocus the uh edit box within a single frame?
38:43I I think I tried to do something and it wouldn't let me actually I'm remembering it wouldn't let me open up the the window and type something automatically.
38:53I think Okay. Okay. I now now you now I want to play with this. Now I want to see how far you can take it. Now all of a sudden I just I can't wait to do something like I don't know. I always want to just find a way around restrictions. I hate restrictions. Okay. This is very very exciting. I like I like the general concept.
39:14All right. So we don't have a lot of data but to bring data in the general idea is if you want data in and you want to like say compare against yourself is that you need to be able to a get the data the same data that you already had you need to be able to get the new version of it. And then if there's timestamps or whatever information we can insert, you theoretically could just like load that into a file required in it's already a Lua shaped file with just the data kind of hardcoded in and then you could theoretically just like walk
39:44two things at the same time. It doesn't sound I mean I I mean I'm sure Claude could get that done in 15 minutes.
39:52Well Well, let's let's think about this.
39:54Let's take it a step back because maybe maybe we're we're approaching this the wrong way to begin with and and we're going too much into the the nitty-gritty and the data and all this stuff like too much into combat.
40:08Let's take let's take it a step back and let's make it something just conceptually more fun and more just like lower barrier of entry, easier to understand. if this is something that we want to end up posting and people can just download it for fun.
40:22There is a in retail woow there is an achievement system and the achievement system is semicontroversial because of like some like social things and it's kind of weird uh which I totally get and I'm also I mean I'm one of those people that doesn't really like the uh I don't really like it either like the achievement system in in some ways but instead of just worrying about all that in forever they've added this
40:51legacy point system. So, the legacy points is kind of derivative of the achievement system. And here, let me let me change my screen so you can see where I'm at. Um, Discord, see screen share, change stream.
41:15Built a tiny neural net in France in genes in pure law. This is the legacy system.
41:24So in the legacy system, uh you go and you can get certain things and it's there's not a whole lot of different things that you can get, but you get legacy points and this is something brand new for forever and it's to kind of incentivize people to make new characters and do alts and stuff like that. You get like different bonuses like oh you get a little bit more rested XP, you get uh you know some some small combat bonuses. uh your your flight paths go faster, stuff like that.
41:52Yeah. So, so you know, basically to promote people to play alts and you know, just if they want to play an alt, that kind of rewards them for hey, having a played the game already.
41:59So, um what I'm thinking is what if we made like an extension to this legacy system because it's like, oh, reach 150 in blacksmithing for the first time, you know, reach whatever, you know, different like player versus player ranks. Um, what if we made like a goofy sort of achievement system that maybe even attaches itself to this window like this this like element in the game where
42:28you you open up the legacy screen and there like has like an extension of this like you know there's adventure player whatever. What if there's like extra one like from the add-on?
42:37Okay. Okay. How do you open up uh that that screen? What is the uh key? It's I think it's L.
42:49This looks like a map. That's quest and log. Uh here. Let's see. Where is that thing at? Edit mode. Macro support options. Is it under options?
42:58Oh, wait. Oh, it's Y. It's Y. My bad.
43:01I changed my key mine. So, all right. So, why? There we go. Wow. I have 16 legacy points.
43:06They Yeah, they gave everybody 16 in the beta so you can test it out.
43:10Yeah. You're like, "Wow, I'm looking good."
43:12Okay. Okay. Okay. Uh let's see on research the legacy uh system for achievement. Are we able to override how that screen looks? That's what I don't know is if you can override how screens look or if you have to only purely add new screens. Again, I don't know.
43:35Right. Oh, looks like we have server restart coming soon, too.
43:41Yes. The source is a normal XML uh separate challenges perks. Okay. Okay. So, theoretically you can it looks like Okay.
43:56Interesting. All right.
43:58Wait, are you sitting on one of those Bosu balls, by the way? I know you're bouncing.
44:01I am. I am. [laughter] It's the life I live is is the ball life. Really? Every every uh every time I see somebody sitting on this, I think that scene from the office with uh Jim coming over and poking the thing out with from from Dwight.
44:14Yes, because eventually you just end up like this and it's just very distracting. [laughter] All right. Uh this is a good candidate for add-on. It has three parts: challenge, awards, perks, and rewards.
44:29Legacy system. There we go. All right. Cool. So that means All right. Let's see. Uh, see, just for fun, create a quick plugin that adds one more from the drop down here. Let's jump in here. See, right below uh raids that just uh says fooar. There you go.
44:55Okay. just to see like can you can you even do it now while while you're doing back on the wow train like like when we get into it should we do something where like you are running something and then I'm also running something in order to get things done more efficiently yes we can totally do that right now I I don't know how much longer I have this for uh the status because it goes by super quick okay so I've I've only used 9% thus far in this little little
45:24adventure Okay. Now, now with um so with the Astra High, do you think it's worth using that?
45:35The the the It is [laughter] so expensive. You will pay $500 a month to use it and you can use it for probably about 90 minutes a week.
45:45Depending on how much you do and don't use.
45:48So like this this one little maneuver, which we're not even done with yet. You can already see I've already lost a percent.
45:56So why so why not use why why not use the soul instead?
45:59Uh just because I wanted to just see it done really quick just to see like hey is this actually even possible?
46:05Right. Right. Oh, I see what you're saying. I see what you're saying. Okay.
46:08Install it. Let's see how the add-on is written. I'm checking the insert and refresh behavior in Blizzard's tree code. The game's add-on directory is read only in this session. So you'll need to make a So you'll need the make link. You run it. Whenever Whenever a model tells you to go like do something, you can just be like, "No, you do it."
46:29You'll need literally saying, "No, you."
46:31Yeah. Wait, why can't Okay, make link.
46:36Okay, so that worked.
46:40All right. So, does that mean I just like reload?
46:46And then why then? What was that? go to I think it was the third taboo bar. There you go. Okay. So, you can make items.
46:56So, you can you can totally make items in this. And so, I assume there's also they have stuff for being able to do drop downs. This is it seems like everything's kind of already well defined in the Warcraft universe for all this. So, I I assume that this is pretty well done. Now, the real question here is uh they're saving data because obviously you need to be able to save data. Uh, so, uh, can you make plugins that can save data such as a separate
47:23level tracking system, right? Because that's really what you want is you're kind of wanting a separate level tracking system, right?
47:34Let's see. Okay, so we can do that. You can have your own XP levels and unlock. Okay, it's all in the saved variables. Okay, so saved variables must be something that you can run across time and they can come back and all that stuff. Okay, cool. Very, very cool. Okay, so now this is where you can kind of jump in and you can give it a try.
47:52Why don't you Why don't you just see if you can update yours really quickly? I'm going to go grab a glass of water, throw open an old codeex, do 61, and see if you can just get the exact same kind of open up because I'm curious if you run into the same make link problem, which I assume you won't. I don't know. I I don't really uh I don't even know what that was.
48:11Soon you'll have Fable 55. Yep. Don't use Fable. It's really slow. It will not be fun for this adventure.
48:18So, okay. I'm using I'm using uh soul extra high. Is that good?
48:22Yeah, you could. Honestly, you could probably use soul like 61 medium or high. You you probably don't because every time you go up in in reasoning, it just takes much longer.
48:33All right. Be right back.
48:34Okay. Okay. So, so what do I need to do here? I need to go um let me let me load this guy here. And then I'm going to load up this window and say uh I want to make an add-on in WoW Forever to that that will add additional additional. Is that an oxymoron? I No.
49:11Is that a Is that That's not an oxymoron. That's what whatever. Uh will that Well, that will add additional uh dropdowns with different achievements into the legacy window that that I have linked here.
49:30Um am I an oxymoron?
49:37So, I'm gonna do this. I'm going to make sure to have the tabs there, too. So, it knows I don't know. Is it smart enough to know? Does it know? Does it know everything uh that I've linked here?
49:49That pasted here. Um, can you can you make uh a simple extra dropdown menu for me?
50:07similar to the adventure one.
50:11All right, the adventure drop then. Okay.
50:15Uh, I said I want to make an add-on in WoW Forever that will add additional dropdowns with different achievements into the legacy window that I have pasted here. Can you make a simple extra dropown menu for me similar to the adventure dropdown?
50:26Okay, nice. Nice. This is good. Yeah.
50:29So, save variables. It looks like those are just things that you can uh like bring up and down on during sessions. So, I think that that's that's how you're going to be able to track something over time.
50:41All right. Yeah, this is this is completely possible. Everything you're doing is completely possible.
50:48Now, you're going to actually hit to the this is like the hardest part, which I realized is I mean, for me, I really enjoy making a game in the sense of making the game engine. It's the game design that's really, really difficult. And so also making a fun achievement system is in in fact like a branch of game design. So you will quickly find that game design becomes a large limiting factor in this.
51:13Like how do you make fun achievements?
51:16Yeah. I think I think that's a big part of it that a lot of people maybe don't understand because like you can't just like tell it hey do this and then it comes up with the best idea in the world. I'm sure it's, you know, they might come up with like some random good ideas, but it just copy pastes other things that have already existed. So, yeah, that's kind of that's kind of where it's at. I mean, I think I think it's really cool because like if you can cut out time that people are using to actually like handwrite code
51:46and you can just have people brainstorm and spend more time actually designing and and coming up with creative ideas, then it just your dev time goes way way down. Am I am I wrong?
51:56Uh yes. What what most people are discovering Well, I mean, by the way, there's like a plenty of problems that we can get into about vibe coding in the actual like concrete sense, but let's just like ignore that entire branch right now, which is you still run into the exact same problem, which I said the world's most legendary uh like uh producers, people who have produced the coolest things, their hit rate is one in a thousand, right? you know, like you you don't know
52:24about all the missed ideas that they took and they thought about. And so it's just like vibe coding or like removing software as a barrier just simply exposes even more how bad your ideas were. Cuz at least before you could be like, well, I can't make that idea cuz it's so hard. It would take me two years to make that, so I can't do that. But now you're like, okay, I tried it and it turns out it was terrible. It's just it's like nonstop.
52:47Okay, yeah, that was actually terrible. So it's like it's like for every for every Metal Gear Solve there's like a thousand golems basically.
52:56Yes. Which is which is very unfortunate.
53:01So um All right. Uh I love I love this idea. This is really really good.
53:06And so now it's just it it really just comes down to kind of figuring out what do you want the interface to feel like because you can really kind of you could come up with anything. You can come up with a game inside of a game because it's just Lua. So you could have you could have just insane things such as some weird crazy form of Tetris that is also this you could make your own kind of a path of the exile like unlock tree so that you can only go so far and in certain directions. I mean there's fun things you could do. You just can't alter the game itself.
53:35So you won't you know like you can't do that side which is unfortunate. It's it's actually you you know what's crazy by the way? This is uh I mean this is related. Uh people have like like repackaged the game like like an old like the old like 2000 version 2004 version of the game recently and they've like I guess decompiled it or something.
53:59Y and they've made new versions of the game that you can just like play in a browser. Like you could load like the 1.12 like original vanilla WoW in a browser now. And there's like a an it's called Azeroth Survivors. Literally, it's like Vampire Survivors, but you play a character and you run. It's insane. I It actually blows my mind. It's super super addicting.
54:19I saw the Diablo I version of this and I was just like, dang, that that looks good. I didn't I didn't realize there was Azeroth survivors as well. Yeah, I would imagine anything at this point. I mean, the reverse engineering thing is just it's so I mean, obviously, it constantly makes like pretty crappy software, but if you can make it and spend enough money on tokens, theoretically, you could make it run at least like somewhat acceptable and then it would be pretty fun to play.
54:44Yeah. So, I think like I was talking to the guy that made it. I think it's like I guess he like you basically like broke it down and then got it, you know, to a certain point, but then at that point it's like, yeah, just design the talent trees and then, you know, you actually work on the stuff, right?
54:57Yeah. Then you spend your whole time realizing how hardwares are. [laughter] Yeah. You're like, "Shit, this is way harder." I kept telling them just to do the thing. Now I realize the thing is actually the hardest part.
55:10Um Oh my gosh. An emulator instead of like imagine you're on a flight path and you're playing like Pokemon on a Game Boy.
55:17Oh, if you wait, can you actually get Discord messages popping into the game?
55:23I haven't linked my Discord yet because I'm like I I don't know if I don't know. I don't know why. I just haven't done it.
55:30Okay. Because if you can, then boom. We got ourselves access because then you got Discord messages.
55:36Go into evaluate string which executes Lua. [laughter] We got it, boys. Okay, we got it. Or you can send in JSON. We I mean that's our socket. So if they allow Discord, they allow a socket. We got it.
55:49We got APIs. If you can talk back now, that would be you got full socket. Yeah, you could do like a you in your own Discord you could make like a log channel and it just logs all your chat. It just it just I guess it just sends it there and then because that would be pretty easy and you make it a private channel in your Discord or whatever but your you have access to it and it's using your Discord account and then it would pull. So that makes sense.
56:15Yeah. Yeah. We could even we could even make it so that you could vibe program and do your job in WoW by having a [laughter] Slack integration into Discord into WoW. I know there has to be more ways. I I because there's someone named uh on on X there's someone named Sam Lambert, right? And Sam Lambert did something epic not too long ago. If you don't know him, he's he actually is he's a re he's a real engineer. He
56:44worked at GitHub before Microsoft bought it and the guy the guy knows a thing or two. Let's see where is his he just he did some WoW stuff where I swear he put something into Wow. I'm going to have to go talk to him about how he got Yeah. So he put into here I built cursor AI client that runs inside of World of Warcraft as an add-on. See, so somehow like how did he get messages back out there? There has to be a way to get message messages back out, right? like this is cuz someone's doing this so I
57:13know that you can do something very against. Well, we're not saying we're trying we're trying to build [laughter] a cool plugin. Okay.
57:23Is it is it even is it is it against? Is there like a hard hard stance hard line there? I don't know. Maybe question mark.
57:31Yeah. uh in WoW toos uh is it against the rules to make plugins uh plugins that can communicate with the outside world. And here here's what I should do. It's the server's about to shut down. So, let me do a quick reload and see if my thing worked. It finished.
57:52Okay. Yeah. I forgot to check.
57:55Okay. Let's see this [laughter] thing.
57:58As soon as the load finished, the server shut down.
58:02Damn. Yeah, I've been disconnected. Does that mean we can reconnect or is there uh Okay, one minute.
58:07Usually it's like a few minutes. Yeah, usually it's a few minutes.
58:10Okay. Are you in the queue?
58:12Uh oh, yours already there. Oh, okay.
58:15I said I just said okay, reconnect and I got in the queue.
58:20Yeah, recently it's been like a good like 10 minutes or so before they bring it back up. But like Okay, so I I I did this and it says create installed forever legacy dropdown. It adds extra challenges. Blizzard's adventure style plus minus. Um, oh, but oh, this did more than I think I wanted it to do.
58:36Yeah. Yeah, it it it decided to like make the things you wanted, which probably, but that's okay. Hey, it's a good initial like uh starting point. So, I think this this is actually pretty good.
58:49Okay, because if if this like looks like what you want, well, then you can make it better, right? You can just Right.
58:56So, this is a pretty classic problem with AI is that if you're not super um super focused on what it's doing, it will always go away. It will always go way out. Okay, someone told me that Netflix just released their earnings. I just want everybody to know that my [laughter] retirement is genuinely on the line here. OH MY GOSH. OH [ __ ] Oh my gosh. Still keeps happening. Why does it keep going down?
59:25What do you What do you think about the Netflix game stuff?
59:28I worked on it. I I made a I made an auto doctor. Oh my gosh. Oh, this just is emotionally painful.
59:36I Yeah, I You know what? I've actually never asked you what exactly did you do at Netflix. You worked on Netflix games.
59:41I worked a little bit on Netflix games.
59:42So, I didn't work on the game game part of it. I did like an autod do that grabbed all the live events, helped shape their live event stuff. Um built something called Reggie, which has recently been taken out. uh called uh the most reliable pacer which was something that just sent in a bunch of paste UDP packets to be able to like see does the TV chunk if we have certain lag and all this kind of stuff like what is the actual pipeline throughput of you know from like our app to television to HDMI and all that kind of crap and so there's like a lot of stuff you have to
1:00:11build and prepare for for live because live has it presents a lot of unique challenges like if you miss a video frame you can just like show the same video frame twice and it's it's not like that visually bad, but if you miss one little bit of audio, even 20 milliseconds, you hear like a Yeah. You hear like a pop. Yeah.
1:00:28Yeah. Yeah. And it's just like that is super annoying. And so there's like an entire world use these things called like calman filters and all this fun stuff. So it's like a lot of it was building um uh like rebuilding they call it uh you unevil uneven level protection uh exor. So forward error correction, unevil uneven level protection, which effectively just like as you send in packets, you send in more data than you need, but that more data effectively uses something called RAID where you can
1:00:57have packets recover. So if one of them drops, you can actually recover it by sending in more data. And there's actually like a lot of reasoning why this is good. And so a lot of things do this. So you can always have live correction and all that but at the end of the day you have to like test everything which is well a lot of effort. Okay. So apparently there's something called uh the woow thing was done through ACP protocol support. Yeah but but the thing is again Zen is how do they make a socket out? How do you make
1:01:24anything outside of it?
1:01:28So that's the that's the question.
1:01:30Let's see. Are microservices more satisfying? So someone's asking about that. No, microservices suck. I mean, I see why they're done at like really large places, but they also suck a whole bunch. Okay. Anyway, sorry. We got a we got emotional there. Okay. And well, then one more stock price check. One more stock price check. Okay. Come on, SpaceX. Oh, yeah. Okay. We're so back. Let's go.
1:01:52Let's go, SpaceX. Okay. All right, everybody. We're good. We could just all be happy now. At least SpaceX went up. Netflix went down. Didn't I did not break even.
1:02:04Yeah, that's how it goes. I I I really I've been Man, I' I've been wanting to get into like a lot more into like the stocks. Actually, it's funny. I talked to Have you ever Have you ever met Stock Guy?
1:02:13Yes, [laughter] I I know.
1:02:15I don't know if you guys had actually met Yeah. Yeah. Uh I I was actually on the phone with him before before I was live a little bit earlier today, but uh but yeah, I I I need to get with him to because I want to I want to I I do want to get more into like the stock stuff.
1:02:28But yeah, it's fun. Stocks are really easy because there's two types you can do. Like the the simple one is what you should be doing is just go buy like index funds, you know, your Vanguard growth technology, your whatever. So that way at some point when you choose to retire, you have some sort of reliable source of income and growth. That's the easy stuff. Like playing individual ones. Yeah. VU and chill, right? Great advice.
1:02:52Uh but the individual ones is where you start getting into the uh you start trending towards gambling and then the more you buy and sell the more and more you're trending towards gambling and so that's where things kind of get dangerous like you should never be buying and selling based on quarter reports like okay I'm going to bet they're going to go up today then you're just like straight gambling [laughter] you know so once you get into options contracts now you're like gamba master.
1:03:16Yeah. Okay. So yeah, I feel like yeah, that's that's the whole thing is like whenever you can like look at like logic and like when you like like map stuff out like like trends and stuff like you know what's going on or like just kind of hey you got to sit on it and just see what happens. You know it's going to go up, it's going to go down.
1:03:34It's uh um it's a fun time. I mean I love it but don't want uh I don't I don't do like day trading or anything like that.
1:03:43Even Buffett [clears throat] suggests buying ETFs. just but you know just keep it simple like unless unless if you're really really smart and you really want to get into it you can go for it. I just personally I just don't you know I'm not I'm not that kind of guy.
1:03:57Somebody had a funny idea too. Another funny idea making a Wow a WoW stock market like a like a WoW stock market add-on based off of the auction house in game.
1:04:10I love that idea. You can buy like that is a good idea. like every day or every, you know, x amount of time, x amount of times a day, there can be some sort of uh Oh, I love this idea. How would you how would you do it though? There has to be I mean, I wish I wish you could build to the point where you could like take people's money cuz then you could like legitimately build a betting system.
1:04:33[laughter] Like that would be so much fun to be like, "All right, we're betting on knives going up tomorrow." That'd be so [laughter] great.
1:04:42Yeah. Black Lotus is going down. Black Lotus is going down. We got to sell. We got to sell.
1:04:46All right. So, hold on. Someone says you actually can uh explain this to me.
1:04:56Publicly a publicly traded guild. Yes.
1:04:59I love that. [laughter] You You can you can get stocks in a guild. You can get ownership of a guild.
1:05:04Dude, the way the the the Wastelands, you know, NASDAQ exchange would be fantastic. You could really I think I think there's a lot of lot of things going on here.
1:05:15With other uh let's see with add-ons running on other players Wow clients.
1:05:23Yes, that is something that can happen.
1:05:26Okay. Interesting.
1:05:28Man, I wonder if there was a way.
1:05:32Man, I I see this is something I'd like to I'd love I mean for me this is stuff I'd like to just like noodle around with which is okay so you get auction I assume you can get a bunch of auction prices and like what's going on and if you can get those auction prices if they can be like updated daily there has to be a way to make it so that you can go to people communicate and tie your money up and do one-off betting there has to be I mean there just has to be right am I crazy
1:06:00there used to be Uh there there was an add-on called Trade Skill Master that was like literally lagging out the like the the game. Chad, do you guys remember what happened here at the beginning of it was like 2019 where people would use this add-on called Trade Skill Master and it would like parse the entire chat.
1:06:22Yeah. Apparently they're saying they're the whole Yeah. People were saying that Trade Skill Master was uh scanning the entire auction house. So the auction house API apparently is heavily uh rate limited. Okay. So that's what everyone has is TSM. TSM apparently trade skill master is the one that does that. Okay. Well, that's cool. Okay.
1:06:56I think they I mean, see, to me, this is where WoW should just go nuts, right?
1:06:59Like, who cares? If somebody wants to bet all their money on black, like, let it happen. [laughter] Let someone build it. Whatever.
1:07:05The the problem is, here's the thing about WoW players. WoW players want There's one problem. I love this.
1:07:12Yeah. One of the problems with WoW players, they want all of the agency to do whatever they want, but none of the responsibility. So look, you you are not responsible for anything bad that happens to you. If you do something stupid, you know, it's so Blizzard has basically gotten to the point where they're like, "Okay, we have to protect the players from themselves."
1:07:37Yeah. Unfortunate. Yeah. No fun in WoW. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. We're not allowed to have fun.
1:07:41Got to go with freedom and responsibility. It's the only way.
1:07:47You can scan the entire auction house every 15 minutes. Okay. Okay, so you can do you can do quite a bit. Okay, so apparently TSM is just like a regular thing. Everyone does 15-minute ones. You can do Jev. So some people apparently have figured out how to run Jev and all that. I mean what you could do if you really wanted to there has to be some other ways that get really crazy. You can install something called or you can run something called uh Kimu QMU or some other VM and then you can actually control the mouse and
1:08:15keyboard from outside and then you could build the thing that does the running and grabbing and does all the fun stuff. So there is theoretically a world that does exist where you could you could really kind of go nuts with the building and have someone that follows you around that is your Twitch chat.
1:08:32Looks like the server's back up by the way.
1:08:33Yep. Oh yeah, I'm I'm in.
1:08:36All [laughter] right, let's see. Let's see. Let's see.
1:08:38I tabbed back over I tab back over to your window and then I realized it like I thought you were looking at my screen. I realized you were already in.
1:08:45[laughter] Uh, okay.
1:08:51So, let me see. Let me see what you got. Also, nice. I like your the clan name, the Beta Cucks.
1:08:59I thought it was I thought it was a good one.
1:09:02It's a good name for beta.
1:09:03Yeah, it is. So, if I get if I open this up, uh, legacy ch Okay, so extra. It just says extra challenge right now, but yeah, it works. Drop down menu works. Uh, see, let me make sure you can see it in real time. There you go.
1:09:17Yeah. Yeah, there we go. Yeah, I was watching it.
1:09:20Okay, nice. You actually do have This works.
1:09:23Oh, wow. They even got Nice. They just put in stuff.
1:09:28Yeah, but I mean I think it's funny because it already It's like stuff that's already there. Oh, wait. Oh, wait. Oh, no. Look at what it did.
1:09:38Oh, that's funny. Okay, that is uh it just it just pulls the same uh the same screen.
1:09:45Well, that's confusing having them do the same thing. There is that is that is a very unique uh that's a very amazing programming session you just went on there. Okay. So, but it does work. So, I bet you could create all those windows and be able to run through all that kind of stuff. Create a second uh XP bar. The real question is what would you want to track?
1:10:05I think I think we should track like a bunch of just like like goofy things, right? Just like dumb stuff like uh jump jump 1,000 times in in one day or something. So it like tracks every time I hit spacebar every time I jump.
1:10:21Okay, that's that's not too hard.
1:10:24Let's give that a rip. Why Why not try it out? Whip whip whip out that little uh a little lender of yours for a second. All right, let's see.
1:10:34Let me change my screen for you. Where is Jupiter?
1:10:40Let's see. One big question for challenges is that I wouldn't need you to have to have the add-on before uh I don't really know what you're asking for. How about stats like Bo's killed? You could Borskilled. I think it does it does some of that stuff. Wait, actually, hold on. Isn't Is there some of the stuff in the character sheet now? Yeah, statistics.
1:10:58Okay, so there's also a statistics window. Um, and they have a bunch of stuff.
1:11:03That would be great. Nice. Statistic windows. Those are fantastic to mess with. So, you actually do they have how many times you've jumped?
1:11:10Oh, well, you might already have this.
1:11:12Yeah, I think they just kind of There's deaths from falling, deaths from fatigue.
1:11:17Oh, that's awesome.
1:11:19Where's the statistics?
1:11:21If you go to your character info, I think you can press C for that.
1:11:25Uh oh, there's social like number of hugs, number of LOLs. Now, this this a lot of this stuff's like older stuff from like years ago, too. Like they whenever they first added the achievement system, it was built into the old achievements window. Um, maybe like total kills. Total kills that grant experience. Nice. Yeah, this is awesome.
1:11:44I wonder if it tracks your jumps.
1:11:47I'm not seeing jumps. I don't Yeah, I don't see mage portal taken the most. That's interesting.
1:12:02Um, but I guess what we would do is we would add stuff into the statistics window and then you would go to the legacy screen to actually like see your like what percentage of completion you have or something, right?
1:12:15Yeah. Well, I mean, you could you could do both. So you could have like times like how many times you've jumped. Oh my gosh. Okay. So I could I could theoretically. So I'm using the worst keyboard in the universe to play WoW on because the space bar is on one side and the velocity is on the other side. Impossible. Impossible to use right now for this.
1:12:34Um okay. So this shouldn't be hard at all. I bet you could prompt right away to keep track of that statistics.
1:12:40Actually uh let's actually ask let's see. Can you uh tell if a player is jumping?
1:12:47Because that's really the question. Do you know if a player's jumping?
1:12:51Yeah. And maybe actually maybe it is something that's tracked in the API where it's like or something that's tracked on your character and you can pull it from the API and like how many times you've jumped and it just because maybe it maybe it exists but it doesn't show it in your statistics screen. I don't know.
1:13:08Because that would be that would be best. I think that I think the best thing possible would be if something's already like built into the game and it's like something is tracked on your character. Because otherwise when you download the add-on, that's when the tracking begins.
1:13:21If it's already tracked on your character and they can pull it using the API, then if I don't have the add-on and I'm already level like 20 whenever I downloaded the add-on, then that's like that information is already there.
1:13:31Okay. So, actually, yeah, that's what we should try and find out. What is everything that gets tracked on your character that the API can pull? And we could just look through that list and have those things that are maybe like not public become public because if we can pull it with the API then we can we can put it back in the statistics.
1:13:50See what are all the stats uh that are look thoroughly through all the code and online documentation before talking to me. Do not talk to me until you have at least spent 10 million tokens reading sources. Do not stop.
1:14:14There you go. All right. Go read for a little bit. So, it's going to go run. It's going to go read.
1:14:20This little maneuver will, I'm sure, take a little bit, but hopefully it just goes. It reads, it figures everything out.
1:14:28Okay. So, so in the meantime, what I should do is I should try and fix what I have now to not uh not look at the same window that already existed, right?
1:14:38Yeah. See, see, I I guarantee you could do that in That's a That's a one shot, folks. I think we got a one shot. I put a little prediction in there.
1:14:46You could easily do this.
1:14:48Just remove what is already in there. Add a whole new window. Boom.
1:14:53Can you remove what is already there in the dropdown and uh replace it with new empty windows?
1:15:07Hold on. Actually, hold on. What? What is it called? Say under underneath the drop down. Under the extra in there. I was already in there under the extra challenges drop down. Replace it with new windows. What do you think? What do you think of plan mode, by the way?
1:15:25Uh plan mode, if you're actually being serious, it's it's better. Uh typically, I don't actually like go into I don't actually go into plan mode. I just have it as one of my rules where hey, you're not allowed to start coding until I say you can.
1:15:38Oh, okay. So, you have like a pseudo plan.
1:15:41It's a pseudo plan mode always to begin with where I just like ask 10,000 questions and you can catch a lot of stuff.
1:15:48So, I typically just go, "Okay, what's going on? How are you planning on doing this?" And and even when like I've really come to just accept the fact that no matter how hard you try, later on you'll come back and be like, "Hey, explain this thing to me." And then it will just be completely like not how you thought it was going to be. It this just happens all the time. I always get surprised by stuff constantly where it's just like, "Okay, prove it. Prove it. Prove it. Okay, I believe we're perfectly ready for this." And it doesn't work. You're just like,
1:16:17[laughter] "Dang, how did how do you do that?"
1:16:23And act like the agent like Peter Teal. Yeah. I mean, that's a that's definitely that's that's an approach.
1:16:30Okay. Okay, it looks like Oh, it did it pretty quick. Just one minute. Uh, replace the shortcuts with empty window one, two, and three. Each opens a blank panel on the right. Okay, so I'm going to reload and wow and see if it works.
1:16:45All right, still going.
1:16:51Chad's saying I should I should I should speak to the AI. Yeah, speak honestly speaking that's unironically that is actually super good advice. So I use it on my phone. I find that I do better like actual better code produced on my phone than I do on my computer because you can just sit there and you can just like I I'll I'll just pace back and forth. I'm pacing the frontier as they say and I just sit there and I just talk into my adi like device and just say all the things that I'm thinking about and then it'll ask me a bunch of questions
1:17:20and then I can just sit there and just say all the things I'm thinking about over and over again and it just tends to do a much better job at figuring those things out than it does uh when you when you try to type it out because ultimately when you type it out you're slow comparatively like I cannot type I type fast and I'm not close to typing what I need the type to match my mouth, right?
1:17:44Yeah. Well, also also I feel like I feel like I feel like it's one of those things where you maybe overthink whenever you're typing, too. Because like I'm I I try and be I mean I try and be like pretty like I'm pretty deliberate whenever I speak. At least I try to be. I try to be pretty deliberate whenever I speak. But like when you're typing what does Okay. like I I need to say it.
1:18:06My brain is like, "Okay, make sure to say certain key words or be really really specific so it doesn't get confused and it just ends up taking longer."
1:18:12But I think normally then then it knows what you mean.
1:18:17You can you can like I mean that's the it's very no matter h no matter what you can say a bunch of dumb stuff and it generally can get like what you're actually attempting to say.
1:18:26It's it's pretty impressive how much it's changed over the last few years. I mean, that's why I'm way more into using it than I even I was like six months ago because 6 months ago it it was not anything like it is today.
1:18:39And so it's already gotten so much so much better. And then a year ago, exact same thing. two years ago. I mean, I actively thought it was horrible two years ago to the point where I would rather code by hand all the way up until about March May this year is when I went, "Okay, it's now starting to get to the point where like my hand coding is no longer as good as my vibe coding as far as like completing tasks." But actual quality and thought throughness will all so far it's like above and beyond if you do it with your hand. So,
1:19:09it's kind of impossible to really say it's all gone.
1:19:15Um, somebody's What is fstack? Wait, what? Oh, okay. There's a lot of events. There is 2,000 events, types, and constants, predicates, arguments, payloads. Wow, there's just so much crap in this game.
1:19:39Wait, type each race. Try type slasherrace and and uh I'll just link it in discord but like slashrace and I it like it's your event log.
1:19:52Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Because there is uh as as this thing was saying there is 1,800 different events that you can listen to. So I assume the event log is is rather like there's a lot of [ __ ] that goes on in this game.
1:20:05Yeah. Player stop moving, started moving. Oh, there's no jump. There's turning. There's moving and turning, but there's no jump.
1:20:13There's falling, isn't there? I thought there was um Let me see if there's falling.
1:20:21There's no falling.
1:20:24I feel like I've been lied to.
1:20:27Well, maybe maybe there's fall damage. I didn't take damage.
1:20:30Jump or ascend start.
1:20:33How come I didn't get that?
1:20:38You might be right. There might not be this thing. I could have been lied to. All right. I I There is a historical statistic. So, I'm just going to see what historical statistics are available. See, hold on. There's character. Oh, let's go like this. Uh exhaustively, uh say each of the historical uh statistics in wound.
1:21:13There we go. I I'll figure out what's in there.
1:21:17This is so interesting. Like unit combat.
1:21:21There's five arguments. Player wound just an empty argument and then 171. What do that mean? I guess I took 17 damage, but I don't know what the one is.
1:21:36That's the nice part is you do have you do have the power of AI or the internet in player [laughter] combat. I saw something that looked like wound empty string 171. Right.
1:21:52Uh yeah, let me see if I can I'm going to do it again just get the exact Oh my gosh.
1:22:04Player. There's player first.
1:22:06Yeah. Player wound space just just empty space 18 and one. I put a screenshot in description.
1:22:13One of those. Yeah, one of those has to be how much damage you took.
1:22:20Oh, unit combat modifier state changed. L shift.
1:22:28Your character took Let's see. Physical damage. Okay. So, the phys Oh, okay. So, one means the type of damage. One's a physical damage. The 17's the amount. There was no special flags like critical or crushing or anything like that. Uh the damage was received as wound.
1:22:45And this is affects type player.
1:22:48So I'm sure if you went out and you hit something, you would probably see something like unit combat and it would say the type of damage and everything.
1:22:56Oh, somebody in chat made a good point.
1:22:57It might be like the one might be like a like a boolean like did it hit or did it miss? No, it's a it's a it's a flag. So, it's just going to be one means one means physical. So, if you went out and you did like fire damage, it would say two or four or three. I don't you know, I don't know if it's by value or by flag.
1:23:16Let me see if I can get a uh Oh my gosh, look at all these events flying through.
1:23:23All right. So, apparently your characters can get total gold acquired, average gold earned per day, gold looted, gold from quest rewards, go gold earned from auctions, auctions posted, auctions purchased, most expensive bid on auction, most expensive auction sold, gold from vendors, gold spent on travel, gold spent on barber, gold spent on postage, gold spent on talent tree respects, uh, most gold ever owned.
1:23:47Yeah, it doesn't look like there's Let's see. There is no jump count definition.
1:23:52At least this is from their extracted list. Now whether or not this is this is true. I mean it does seem to match up like you see the uh you see uh the social ones number of hugs, face, palms, times, laws, cheers, waves, right? Like we saw all those. So flights taken. Yeah. So it looks like the the the statistics you're looking at are the statistics that are available.
1:24:21H. Okay. So, yeah, there's nothing they added. Well, can we I wonder if we can like cross reference it. Is there anything that is available that is not available in the statistics window in WoW Forever?
1:24:33Uh, and maybe you can just Yeah. So, things we can uh things we could probably Let's see. Total damage done, received, large seal. We'd have to find an event because obviously there's an event. There's um types of damage. It doesn't look like they have types of damage. So you could break things down into more concrete values because I bet you how do you do that errace you said?
1:24:54So E trace event trace. So I'm just going to go over here. Let's smack that guy.
1:25:02And so there you go. You can kind of see the things that are happening here. Player I took three damage is my is my guess. Is there a little two?
1:25:14Some sixes. All right. Oh my gosh, there's so many events I can't even keep a track.
1:25:20Yeah, I I did one where it was like it said eight was whenever I was like I think it was whenever I shooting shadow bolts.
1:25:34Uh search. Oh, can I filter filters?
1:25:41How do I add a filter?
1:25:47Okay. Apparently I can't add a filter.
1:25:52Yeah. There you go. Target.
1:25:54Target. Target was Oh, what is this?
1:26:06Look up what this means. because you theoretically could actually uh find perhaps you could find something that's kind of cool about it all.
1:26:14Maybe like how much damage you've ever done total.
1:26:17They already have total damage, but they don't have like total physical damage. Maybe you could do total bow damage if there's a way to determine if it's like uh ranged or not.
1:26:26Wait, where is total dam I'm not seeing total damage here.
1:26:29Are you Well, it's in the statistics.
1:26:32They're claiming here. Um I'll go like this. Could you make a uh plugin that shows my total lifetime damage above my head at all times?
1:26:44Oh, look. It says total damage done, total damage received, but it's not showing anything. So, maybe it's broken.
1:26:52Well, that that's stupid. Why Why would you even want that? That's that seems like a crappy feature. [laughter] It takes time to show probably.
1:27:08Make this per session. You could make it per session. Like I mean that's the nice part is you could you could track some stuff.
1:27:15Yeah, but you could also do that with a damage meter that's already in the game.
1:27:22Oh, the damage meter already keeps track of stuff. Yeah, there's another the other one is slashfstack that I'm I want to see if there's any information here that's like useful. And what fstack does it like you can it basically like breaks down a frame like any sort of like dialog box or anything that pops up. Uh UI widget below mini map character frame mode tab highlight.
1:27:50All right. Life damage.
1:28:26Is everything a frame?
1:28:31What do you mean? Is everything a frame?
1:28:33I think I think I think that like literally I can click on anything and it gives me like a there's frames everywhere.
1:28:41Like places where it's like there's nothing there. There's frames. I don't know what that actually means, but I do love that uh this is turning into a phil philosophical talk about is life just really a bunch [laughter] of frames, you know? Are we really all just dropping them?
1:29:02Yeah. Okay, so this Let's see. You have uh to enable name plates. Oh, enable name plates.
1:29:11Wait, they extended the beta, chat. Is that true?
1:29:16All right, let's go to options interface. My guess is name plates is in here. Oh, name plates. Oh, terminal now and just run the thing. It always keeps asking me to do stuff. Just No, you you run. [laughter] All right, let's see.
1:30:20Apparently, it can't ultra fast. It just does not want to uh do this. Can I just go make link?
1:30:37Yeah. Okay. So, lifetime damage is empty. It just says waiting for stats.
1:30:46Or at least it it appears to be something slow. Maybe it's just something that they have in there legacy wise, but they don't actually ever fill it in.
1:30:59So, if you want, you could make your own.
1:31:04It would be beautiful.
1:31:05We can Yeah, we can do that. We can We can We can add our own.
1:31:09Yeah. I don't see why not. Um, yeah, let's create our own that tracks uh this current session's total damage.
1:31:21Start easy, right? Never you don't have to try to specify everything in the universe. You can just start really like small. And so that's you know that's a thing that because whenever you have this like uh ability to write or create anything a lot of time people they get a little too uh their ambitions go up really really high but then they kind of fail at actually doing anything because everything just turns into just a jumbled mess. And so if you just start really really small and just work one
1:31:50step at a time often it just is a little bit easier.
1:31:55Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Makes sense.
1:31:59the new Lua Forever. Oh, really?
1:32:04Sure. Let's open up a link.
1:32:10Here's the link. Good luck, everybody.
1:32:12Hey, good luck. Good luck. Have fun.
1:32:15I already I think I kind of already know all these things. You can just ask.
1:32:22Yeah, you can. Okay. Yeah. Important boundaries.
1:32:25No. Yep. No shell processes. No. Yeah, I know. No. Yeah. No general embedded browser. Lame. No frame buffer. No unrestricted world. Yep.
1:32:38You can you can te you can definitely do um what's it called? You can definitely control a character pretty easily with a robot. Weren't you watching people do that?
1:32:47Uh say that one more time. Weren't you watching people Weren't you watching people uh use some sort of robot to control the character pretty easily?
1:32:59Oh, I saw a clip of that. Yeah, I I I saw I saw a clip of that happening and that's what people were like, "Oh man, are people going to end up making bots with um with AI?" Basically, it was it was kind of like a whole thing, which I mean like yes, the answer to that is yes, which is not good.
1:33:16Here you go. Here is a video of you see all these things going on the screen. So this is called Jev. It's a real-time decision system and as you can see it's playing Doom.
1:33:27Where to move? Where to aim? And so it can you can just freak is this is this is this black magic? Is this like dude? It's so simple to make. I know it's like freaking out going left and right, but it's really really not hard. You just have to define a couple things.
1:33:40So what makes Jev so good is that Jev can uh you you give it input, right? And then from that input, all it needs to do is you you give it a bunch of options like, "Hey, do you want to go left? Do you want to go right? Do you want to strafe left? Do you want to strafe light? Do you want to drag your mouse left, right, up, down?" It can just kind of do all those things and it will just kind of like just do them for you. And it can make those decisions like 10 to 15 times a second really really quickly. Go. And so it can play these games really because it's not
1:34:09trying to decide the universe. It's trying to decide in like a really small narrow window which is Do I go left or right?
1:34:17And so that's why it's just not getting hit by any of these fireballs because it just makes sense because it's pretty obvious like, hey, when a fireball is coming at you, don't get hit by don't get hit by it, right?
1:34:31Oh, this guy's saying he's the one that made the bot.
1:34:35Yeah. And so you can use something called Kimu or some sort of VM and then you could actually have it so it operates on like a on like a kernel level. So then it like nothing can really tell that it's being manipulated or easily tell that it's being manipulated. Then boom, you're you're running around.
1:34:55So pretty fun stuff.
1:34:57Yeah. So you you can do it, too.
1:34:59Nope. [laughter] I'm not I'm not getting involved in any of that. Yeah. That's that's the uh that's the that's the dark arts here in the uh in WoW. The botting and stuff. They got a that's the dark arts.
1:35:14Let's see. It does not look like I'm getting much for session damage here. Okay. Well, this was very boring.
1:35:20Updates after combat. Oh, why not update live? What are you doing?
1:35:24Oh, that's annoying.
1:35:25Yeah, update live, not after combat.
1:35:30Like you can just you can just tell. There you go. 76 damage. There you go. No, it should be able to, right? because it has Oh, I bet you there's probably some sort of errace something that's like Oh, I wonder if this is part of the new API stuff because they like they can't pull the combat log.
1:35:48I don't know if you know this um as fan, but Dario.
1:35:54Uh CEO of Anthropic just invited me to a group to play.
1:35:59Yeah. To play WoW with. I mean, seems pretty exciting.
1:36:02That's amazing, dude. Congratulations.
1:36:04Yeah, thank you. Thank you. I'm actually pretty excited about this.
1:36:08Yeah, congratulations.
1:36:11[laughter] You must Okay, so you you must not be able to read that. It displays your overall damage directly. Okay, interesting. So you Okay, so there's like an in combat restriction that goes on. So in combat must kind of All right. It's kind of fun to learn all these things because I haven't I actually I actually haven't tried to Okay, I definitely don't think I've done 2,000 damage.
1:36:37You might have actually. Look, look, look how much health. You're level four. Look at how much health that uh like scroll over the the health bar of that of that board.
1:36:46Oh, funny. Look that you'll know how much damage I do before I swing. I did five. All right, there you go. I did seven.
1:36:51Oh, that's funny. Yeah. So, so that whenever that number pops up, there's a delay on that. And they they did that on purpose to make it look like So, the damage goes out when you start the animation.
1:37:04So, there's a there's a delay on the number.
1:37:08So, sometimes people think they're lagging, but it's like, wait, am I lagging? But no, cuz like Yeah, just how it works.
1:37:17Oh, look at that. The more you know. I did not know that a lot of stuff is blocked when you're in combat. It prevents add-ons uh from being able to do stuff like automatically drink potions when you get low. Oh, okay.
1:37:31Oh, that's a good point. Yeah, they they they stopped pulling a lot of stuff from combat because of uh they I mean again it goes back to like they don't want the game to basically like tell you everything like right there so you can just like actually have to play the game. But uh it's kind of this weird thing. We we had a problem with it during the tournament because we were like we we just did this big like dueling tournament and I spent a lot of time trying to put together an add-on to be able to read what abilities people are using on the screen. But the only
1:38:01way that we could get that to work was if everybody who was participating also downloaded an add-on and there was like a handshake where it would they would communicate within one with one another to to tell the other person that has the add-on what they have. So, that was like one option was like, "Hey, we get everybody to uh to to download this add-on, but it was also like we just ended up not doing it."
1:38:25Yeah, that's kind of uh that's kind of annoying. [laughter] That's kind of annoying to be like, "All right, everybody download the thing so you can see it." But I mean, yeah, because it was also like right before because we didn't get it done until like last second. If it was like way earlier, then we would have been that would have been different. But if it was I mean because it was like right before it was kind of bad.
1:38:46Uh, I can invite you to a repo that disables the secret stuff for Lua and allows you to run protected functions. Uh, I don't really want to run code like that on my on my computer.
1:38:56That just feels like uh you're trying to honeypot me right now. [laughter] All right. I know enough to be like, "Oh, man. You're developing an add-on, dude. You should check out my super sweet add-on." By the way, that is a great way to get screwed. Everybody don't let an agent run it. You'd have to let a You'd have to do The problem is is that the agent may or may not c, you know, catch it.
1:39:19You can read the code. I understand. I could read the code eventually. All right. There we go. Okay. So, you have a lot of options, it looks like.
1:39:31Uh, so you can keep track of stuff if you want a live damage thing. I still think this thing's a little bit broken because there's no way cuz that would be like 20 cuz I just started. That would have been like 20, you know, things killed. I don't think I did 20 amount of damage. And so that feels a little bit funny.
1:40:00Okay. Well, it stayed that time. That's nice. That's beautiful.
1:40:03Killing boores. Living to win here.
1:40:08So you could I mean you can do quite a bit with this it looks like. So whatever you want to do it's up to you.
1:40:17Okay. So So if we go and Okay. So, so we have I wonder if we can make it like track um emotes.
1:40:30Like if we if we did like how many times you've danced with somebody, how many times you've uh waved at somebody, how many times you you've done slashrude to somebody. Um and then then oh oh okay because we want to go back and we want to we we're like we're talking about all these things to track.
1:40:51So, so you can get achievements for if somebody is like nice to somebody, then they can get like an achievement for being friendly by waving, saying hi, hugging people, that kind of stuff. And I wonder if we can make it locally, add a title to your name and then also communicate with other players if they have the add-on and then they can also
1:41:21the very friendly guy.
1:41:23Yeah. Like you could basically be like I don't know the I don't know um so and so the honorable, right? Or like the friendly like Okay.
1:41:36So that means uh what's it called?
1:41:39I wonder if you can tell. Okay. Okay. Yeah. Because it already tracks total waves. Like I just did it right there and it I can see that I tracked it.
1:41:48That's an easy one to pull. I just assume that that is something that you can just get. Uh, cheers. Can I cheers?
1:41:55There you go. Cheer attracts. Cheers.
1:41:58Lols attracts. Lols.
1:42:00I don't know what this Oh, the smallest violin. I don't know how to How do you play the small violin?
1:42:04Uh, I think slash violin.
1:42:06Okay. Violin. Yeah. So, the these ones all seem to work because the other ones did not work.
1:42:14Okay. So, so maybe let's let's start with an easy one. Let's do something that's like uh see if we can change and you know this is this is all stuff that you can figure out eventually but like if we can change the player's name like on your screen to say like what's what's your character's name?
1:42:35Um what is my character's name? What did I do it as? Uh I use Omachi by the way.
1:42:44Omachi by the way. Okay. So you can go like omachi by the way. You go you go omachi by the way uh the social like comma space the social if you have like 10 of these like 10 of each of these things and then we can test it.
1:43:00All right let's see. Let's see if we can do that. I mean I guess why I mean do you want to give this a rip? Why don't you give it a rip? Let's see what Let's see what you got. Let's see. Let's see. Let's see those typing skills.
1:43:10I don't think you're able to change floating names uh over players heads.
1:43:14Uh, should we ask it first?
1:43:16Yeah, ask it. Tell it to research.
1:43:19I'm going to I'm going to dictate.
1:43:22Uh, I'm dictating right now. Codeex. Um, so can you do something to change what a player's name is over their head in WoW Forever and do deep research on this. If you make a mistake, I will crush you and your family. That's pretty good. That's pretty good.
1:43:46Number one dictator. I'm going to dictate.
1:43:50I'm I'm I'm Yeah, I'm working on my dictator skills.
1:43:52You are? I mean, I can tell. This is some good stuff. You got uh What which name display do you want to change? My own name above my character. Yeah, cuz I I I'm curious if the the name display cuz it doesn't look like I mean I don't see my own name above my own character.
1:44:19Uh so so you can you you do that in the AI. That one's me. That's that's my character.
1:44:23Oh, sorry. I just I just rejected you. I was like I get out of here.
1:44:30Okay. So, I can see you. I can see Moon Moon.
1:44:33Yeah, the Mo. Sorry, I'm just so used to being like, "No, I will not accept your friendship around here."
1:44:43Oh, we're on different layers. Are we at We're in different layers. It's annoying. It'll It'll put us on the same layer in a second.
1:44:50What does that mean?
1:44:52It It's It's like their new tech that they're using. So, they're putting everything on a mega server. So, there's like normal PvP roleplay and eventually they're gonna put out hardcore and it's just one big server, but it's different layers and different like shards that they're doing.
1:45:10And it's kind of like it's it's a good idea. So, it's like everybody can play on the same server like instead of just or everybody can play together instead of playing on different servers and you can't group up with your friend or whatever. It's it's a decent solution to a problem that WoW's had for a long time. if like a new player comes in, it's like, "Oh, I started leveling on the wrong server. I got to start over."
1:45:30Um, but there's like a lot of issues with like the layering. You get like force layered or like you don't you don't actually layer quickly enough cuz like I invited you I don't know how many minutes ago or how many like two minutes ago maybe and and you still haven't actually shown up in my layer yet.
1:45:48Interesting. Okay. So, there's there's a sounds like there's kind of a neat little uh some sort of sharding going on. Well, she heard.
1:45:56All right. What does the AI say?
1:45:59Um, it is not done getting an answer for me. The native overhead name and the Lua name plate text are separate displays. Forever expose the toggle for your own overhead name, but I haven't found an API for replacing its words. Its personal resource display is also immovable HUD element, so anchoring text there would not guarantee that it falls your head.
1:46:27Oh, wait. You have to click refresh to to swap players now. So, do you have a do you have a refresh in the bottom left?
1:46:33If I knew what that meant, I would be offended. Yeah. Uh, refresh that world refresh. Yeah. See if you can click that arrow or something.
1:46:39Refresh now. There you go. I think I'm in I think I'm in your area now.
1:46:50Hey, shoot. Okay, I got it.
1:46:55Would you like to be a beta cook?
1:46:56Dude, I'm I'm a beta [ __ ] from life. [laughter] Okay. Oh, nice. You got like a little friend you got with you. Look at that little friend.
1:47:06Yeah, a little uh little imp. Actually, you Oh, you're playing hunter. I thought you're playing a warlock for some reason.
1:47:12Um but yeah, you can get the uh you can get the imp at level two, I think.
1:47:16Oh, dang. That thing's good.
1:47:19Yeah, it's pretty it's it's pretty strong at uh like right whenever you get it.
1:47:24Yeah, that is uh that it seems like uh leveling early levels looks pretty easy.
1:47:32Um let's see. Okay, so what do we got here?
1:47:36Your native overhead name controls visibility but does not accept replacement text. Source GitHub the WOW UI source. Okay. Um custom. Okay. So, you can change it with a custom name plate add-on, it looks like, but not the way that it is currently in like like natively, I guess, in the uh in the game.
1:48:01H All right. Uh does that mean that but if you replace it and somebody else is like your friend, does that mean you can also get it replaced? Because I don't even see my own. I must not have name plates on.
1:48:13Yeah, you go uh if you go escape and options. I mean, I do like I think I have player name.
1:48:20Oh man, look at this plugin I have. Look at how nice that looks right just right there. I actually I have name plates being shown for everything. It looks like always show name plates.
1:48:31Uh it's probably my name.
1:48:34It's probably your character's name.
1:48:38See, I see this guy's name.
1:48:43Well, do uh uh in the search bar, just type just type my name.
1:48:48All right. Search bar in the options.
1:48:53And then then check check the my name.
1:48:56My name. Show enemy names.
1:48:58Oh, what the heck?
1:49:00Why is she being weird? Try try again.
1:49:03I don't really just my go back. Yeah. Go back to go back to control. I think maybe because you're on key bindings.
1:49:10Oh, I'm on key bindings. Control interface. Interface. There we go. My name.
1:49:19Yeah, I don't see it.
1:49:21Okay. Do uh Oh, my name. There it is.
1:49:25Why is mine sorted? Mine's sorted differently than yours.
1:49:31I don't know, man. All right. So, I can't see myself, though. I can't get my uh plugin my really amazing plugin to go away, though. It's just dead center in the screen. Can you can you shift left click it and see if you can like left click drag?
1:49:44Oh, that's so funny. Okay, so yes, I guess you could. I mean, theoretically, it seems like you can control I wonder you can control showing your name plate. So, you could actually make a custom one, I guess, that could follow you around.
1:50:01And then if you have a handshake, it could automatically uh then it probably hide everybody's and not just one person's.
1:50:07All right, hold on. Yeah, I got I got uh something.
1:50:10I'm hearing something weird. I'll be right back.
1:50:12All right, go ahead.
1:50:16Yeah. Yeah, it's a it's a Boston ball chat. Yeah, that's why Yeah. Yeah, that's that's why he's bouncing on it crazy style, man. I feel like I feel like the the API is like really limiting even for like a lot of fun stuff, unfortunately.
1:50:32Ryan, what do you what do you chat? What do you guys think?
1:50:44Something weird equals wife showing a kiss.
1:50:48[laughter] [gasps] Deserved.
1:51:05All right, that was just Doggo.
1:51:12So, it looks like if you want to do anything special, you could track anything that they allow events for, but it's pretty limited. Like pretty much everything they already have for the interface. I think that's pretty much where you're where you're going to be.
1:51:31Yeah, I'm I'm I'm like like you could do custom things. Um, I wonder if you can get the area that you're in, you could have like visit locations, but that already seems like that is a thing, like explore.
1:51:46I I would I would have just assumed that the only thing that's really good is just like knowing something you really want during combat or something that just makes life a little bit easier and how to add that kind of stuff. Yeah, I have. Okay, so like I I I I wrote down some stuff earlier like deaths from falling damage, drowning.
1:52:11Yeah, apparently I mean apparently they already have it's all in the statistics, so you can grab that.
1:52:18But is it I wonder if there's any way to grab things that are not tracked in the statistics. Yeah, I I would say that uh because like look up your E tags for a quick sec or your E trace.
1:52:31And then let me let me see your screen. Whip it out and then do whipping whipping and then like attack that boar and I assume you'll see target damage and you'll see a a different type of damage. Is there anyone? Let's see. Is there anything in this region that does damage that's not See, there's target.
1:52:54So, if you find one of those unit damages, you'll probably see something that shows how much damage you did with a with a mask on top of it.
1:53:04So, you did what? 114. Is that a four?
1:53:06Did I just see a four there for a second?
1:53:08Uh, go down a little bit. Go down. Well, unit died. Oh, sorry. I'm looking at I'm looking at your I'm looking at the Twitch stream.
1:53:19Oh, yeah. Wait. Oh, is it not? Hold on.
1:53:22I keep forgetting. Uh, change stream.
1:53:26Share screen. Okay. Is that better?
1:53:28Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
1:53:31Uh, target wound 81.
1:53:34That's saying physical damage. Maybe they do just simply reduce it down to just you you you just get no information.
1:53:41See, that one says four, right?
1:53:46Yeah. So, here the six is That's probably Well, here. Let's do this. So, I'm gonna I'm going to do emilate. So, I just did that. Emilate. And I wonder if four is fire cuz that fire. Let's see this. Uh name. Okay. Unit combat means. Yes.
1:54:17So that's what it is.
1:54:18So eight I wonder if eight shadow, four fire, eight shadow. Okay. So there's all these different damage types. So one is physical, four is fire.
1:54:26Then that means two. Two is a value. 16's a value. Maybe. So they are flags. They're bit flags. That means the type of damage is stored is probably a bite is my guess.
1:54:37Okay. So fire. Okay. So is shadow. Okay. This is four. Fire is four. Frost is five. Then nature is they're going to be powers of two is my guess. Just because there's because there was four and eight. So just thinking through four and eight then I would just assume the next one's like 1632.
1:54:57Uh yeah. Yeah, cuz I think shadow shadow I'm going to hit something with a shadow.
1:55:02Two's holy four's fire eights eight nature 16 frost 32 shadow 64 RP.
1:55:07Oh 32 shadow. Okay, there you go. So you can I mean you could track the types like the subtypes of damages and keep track of your own totals based on like your how much shadow damage you've done.
1:55:19Yeah. How much shadow damage, how much that kind of stuff as opposed to just like total damage because it could I mean I don't know I again I haven't played this game. I have not seriously played this game since 2005 and so I don't remember if mages you have two types of damage that you're you're constantly doing or is it just really like a primary one then a secondary one. Then you could like you could track it and be like, "Okay, is this am I actually keeping up keeping up with the Joneses?"
1:55:45I assume that's how what's it called that Warcraft logs works is they're just dumping a whole bunch of state like all your attacks, everything, what time stamp, all that out to a file.
1:55:54You reload or you quit. It has it all saved and then you manually upload that onto the server and then it can go, "Okay, there you go. This is what you did."
1:56:05Okay. So, so Okay. Okay, so we we've learned all this stuff about how the game tracks information.
1:56:12We've learned we've learned how lot of learning tracks damage types. A lot of learning a lot of learning has happened. So we've learned how how we've learned what we can track or a lot of what we can track. Uh we've learned how, you know, it separates out into different damage types. So if you know what the different uh I guess bit values are, then you'll know what type of damage it is.
1:56:37Um, so you could track it if you want to just track it yourself if that's interesting. You can build your own little UI to the side to see how you're doing.
1:56:56Yeah. So what I don't I don't know if you like you don't run a raid over and over again, do you?
1:57:02Uh, well I Yeah. Not not we run it once a week basically.
1:57:07Yeah. So if you want to I mean you could probably I believe it tells you when you start a raid and there's some information that you'll be able to grab. So you could actually grab your raid all the different times in which something happens. I assume you can save it out if you should be able to kind of save it out. Then you could like compare yourself week over week. You can be like, "All right, let's do this. How good am I doing?"
1:57:30Yeah. I think you watch your old madness slowly just not react fast.
1:57:38I think that we This is so annoying because like the the version that I play the version of the game that I play most is Burning Crusade right now until this comes out. And Burning Crusade because it has that different API. I almost want to like shift gears and see if we can make something like this for Burning Crusade that could like real time track your you know like like the ghost thing like Mario Kart Ghost thing that we talked about.
1:58:04Cuz I really like that. Um you I mean I don't see why you couldn't do that especially I mean obviously Warcraft logs is doing it. So if they're doing it you must be able to do it and you can So here's here's like some ideas. Let's just whiteboard this for a quick second. And so again, I am gonna purely spitball based off of ideas.
1:58:24Okay, you're about to watch a senior engineer in action. Okay, now uh here we go.
1:58:30So this is kind of how I would architect this because you have a lot of limitations. Like one of your limitations is that you cannot uh go get data from the internet.
1:58:39So all right, that is a problem which means you kind of have this like sync unsync cycle. You have a start of a game, then you have your game being played, and then you have the end of your game. And something in these two positions can be updated. By the way, I don't know if you'd notice this, but like, did you see how straight that line was? How straight line really impressive?
1:58:58I am I'm oneshotting some pretty serious straight lines right now. But anyways, yeah, that was really really impressive.
1:59:02Thank you. So, this would be like your load phase and your save phase, but really like your load phase doesn't quite exist because whatever is the state of your file system at the time that you lo uh load Warcraft is the state that is going to be inside of memory until you hit reload, right? So, it's like, okay, so there is definitely something you can do between these two to make it so that this is really awesome. And how I kind of think about it is that all right, so we have a plug-in directory, right? And inside
1:59:32this directory are I guess you call them folders over there on Windows land.
1:59:35Inside that directory, you could theoretically have something called like combats that's autogenerated. So it all stays offline. There's no central server. There's none of that kind of crap that you got to do. And inside this combat folder is a bunch of Lua files that actually have a bunch of data about each type of thing you've kind of experienced. Like this is just my first attempt of thinking through how you could do this. And so that way every time you go and say fight uh you know ragefire chasm you'd have kind of your previous stats within ragefire chasm
2:00:04inside of this Lua uh Lua file that you could load up and then you could compare against like time stampwise and then in the bottom you could draw probably a pretty nice little graph is my guess. In fact, let's just try it out for fun. I would like to see if we can draw a uh bar chart uh in Wow. Can you do a bar chart with some simple values? Uh let's see. Y scale should be I don't know,
2:00:31let's say 0 to 100. Uh X can be uh now to 5,000. Keep it uh small enough and in the right hand corner.
2:00:44We'll see what this thing makes really quickly. But so like an idea that I just have that you could attempt to try out is that you have a loading phase which does stuff and then you have a single saving phase which means that you have to run a program over your save to prepare it to be in this format. Now maybe with saved variables I don't know how big they can be. you might just be able to have it just use saved variables and then you never have to do this like extra process because that's kind of how
2:01:14Warcraft logs sounds like it works is you have an extra thing you have to run on top of it and so this could massage the data into ways that you can enter back into your plugin. Uh, I'm sure there's more that I could go and look up and we could figure out maybe something better, but there's kind of like a some sort of cycle here where you have load, play, save, and then there has to be this kind of like execute phase down low. Like, how do you how do you massage this to get it back into your plugin or
2:01:42in a way that you consume? Because I don't know if saved variables are that big. How big can you make uh or how much data can saved variables have in it? There we go. Make link. Boom. Bar chart. Where where did my game go? Where are you? You're right here. There you are. Okay. There you are. All right. Uh reload. So, look. You can make like a pretty sweet bar chart.
2:02:14I'm happy with that. I I assume you're happy with that, right? So you could imagine you could you could see yourself kind of ghosting for like, okay, I'm trailing behind Yeah.
2:02:23my previous self. It is this is not good. Like I got to do better. Like if you're trying to like speedun it because then you can kind of do like golden splits in some sort of sense except golden damage splits, right?
2:02:36or even like leveling like like if you wanted to do like a leveling like a like a speedrun leveling add-on and you could do your splits from like oh how long did it take you for each level like one to level 10.
2:02:49And you probably have a whole bunch of stuff that you could probably grab that you could really kind of put this in there and that would be kind of fun. But it seems like uh you still have this ultimate problem which is you get data and this is um this is unique because the the only thing that I so the hard part is that you need a way to say like if you did it on the server I'm sure there's a way that you could do like statistics and machine learning and insert buzzword here where you could kind of verify that someone cheated. But
2:03:17typically how this is done is that on a server on or on code you control you take your data and you sign it.
2:03:25Effectively signing it is that you run a super special you create a a hash if you will a bunch of ones and zeros 128 bits of ones and zeros 256 doesn't really matter the size and you sign it and then that is like okay I can take this signed value put it on my server and use my special secret password and I can tell that this payload that was generated I generated it but since Lua is open source by the very definition whatever secret signing you have people will be able to easily cheat the system so if you want
2:03:54to make it competitive or if you want people to be able to like all jump in, you'll have a massive secondary problem, which is that cheaters love cheating. And I don't know why [laughter] they just do. I mean, that's why they're uh that's why they're beta cucks, you know, like really when you think about it. So delta cucks practically. And so they're out there.
2:04:13They're going to be uploading bad data.
2:04:14So then you'd it'd be you'd have to do like cheat detection, which I mean that just sucks.
2:04:18Yeah. Now now, yeah, you're talking about a whole a whole different ball game. So like local stuff could be really fun because it's like local competitive you're like I'm going to be the best version of me but global competitive will be just a I'm sure Warcraft logs will go brother don't go down that I'm telling you don't go down that road it was tough they'll probably tell you all about how awful it is. I I wonder I wonder if you can make an add-on. So there's nothing you can pull from the internet at all. Well, no. The nice part is we just talked about this
2:04:46and Lord Lord uh Zack Zan, the one that uh said that he created the bot that you were watching. You can create a socket from Discord, remember? So, if you can do a Discord channel, you can have stuff write to Discord. I don't know if you can I don't know if Warcraft can write to Discord.
2:05:03That would be a quick That'd be a kind of a question right there.
2:05:06You'd have to pull I guess you'd have to pull the data. I I think you have to pull the data from Warcraft logs and you can do like who has the top parse on whatever boss you're fighting and then you could see how far off you are from like the highest DPS in the world of your class for example.
2:05:22Yeah. Yeah. Exactly. And plus those ones also I assume are fairly static values meaning that if you update them once a week or once every 24 hours it's not like you're like oh my gosh it's like tomorrow it's completely changed. It's quadrupled since the last time I looked at it. And so you know that's not a thing. So you could just pull those values irregularly and then you can see how close you are.
2:05:45So you know, but you still you still have this process, right? You go you go you go right back to this thing which now you have a preload thing which is another like execute of somehow or some sort that you bring in values. Now this is obviously pretty easy probably to do.
2:05:57I'm sure there's a what you call it again. What's the process or what's the uh it has such a funny term. What's the thing that you track people's like damage and everything? What's that term you just used?
2:06:10Yeah. No, but not combat log. You call like parse. Yeah, parse. There you go.
2:06:14Yeah. There you go, dude. That's just such a silly word for for me. But yes. Okay. The parsing, bro. You got to get your parsing on.
2:06:22Yeah. You just have to get I'm sure there's like some sort of global parsing that exists that you can go and grab, right? Yeah, it's funny cuz like we call it we call it parse because it's literally like it like cuz they call it parsing because the logs just literally like parse your combat log to see like how much damage you're doing. That's kind of where it came from.
2:06:41And you can see the damage you're doing.
2:06:44Yeah. You can see the damage you're doing too with like unit combat. You can see player if you're taking damage.
2:06:49Target target I think if you're doing damage. I'm sure there's some other things once you get into group combat and all that where you can see who's doing what damage and it's not you doing the damage. But either way, you can see the type of damage, how much damage, and you can easily do DPS and all that.
2:07:02Like, no problem. This is all like pretty straightforward stuff.
2:07:07Interesting, man. But I wonder if we can keep it. Okay, but that Okay, so that's more for Burning Crusade. I wonder if we can I'm I'm I'm trying to like tie it back into Forever into into Classic Plus into into the new version.
2:07:23You could do this You could do this for this as well, right? Like do we have all those live stats for combat?
2:07:28Well, yeah, but we don't have like all that stuff's like way like a ways out because of launch being I mean like we're only up to level 30 in the beta.
2:07:38We haven't done any raids. So, a lot of that stuff hasn't happened, you know?
2:07:42So, I feel like it needs to be more like it needs to be more accessible. Like it needs to be something like the thing I'm like a turbo nerd. So, like I really like that. Like I really like this kind of stuff. Like as far as uh this is great like the like the the parsing, the rating, like all that kind of stuff.
2:08:01Like I really really enjoy that. But then I'm thinking maybe maybe for where we're at in the beta right now, we need to kind of take it a step back. So maybe the achievements thing isn't really I mean there's something there with the achievements thing, but I I just don't know what now. This earlier comes down to design.
2:08:20Okay. So the one thing you could do Yeah, I know. You could have a fun achievements, which is that it's all local, right? So, it's like this is not achievements that you go and and there's not like a competitive leaderboard, right? Let's just set that aside cuz that just opens up a whole can of worms.
2:08:34You could like do DPS style achievements to be like how like did you maintain an X DPS for this long?
2:08:43Well, like girl, can you keep it up for long enough? Like maybe you could like I don't know. And so if you do that, like that could be something that's probably pretty fun to track. So you could watch yourself get better and better. Maybe it could be some sort of like, you know, because Okay, we're going to really we're going to really get after it. I am sure in Warcraft there exists a curve which we're going to call this the parsing pro, the PP and you right, you are way down here. You are not the PP.
2:09:06And so I'm sure there's a logarithmic curve that looks something like this, right? Where it's pretty easy to get here and it gets just like, you know, harder and harder and harder and harder to get here. And the scale is like logarithmic, right? So it's like here's like the first, you know, whatever percent of players. Here's, you know, the 99% of players. Here's the 9999, you know, it just keeps getting worse, right?
2:09:26You could create something that's like an achievement system that is like, okay, we're going to like track you along these lines to see where you're at and so it can keep on challenging you and you could be like, "Okay, I can just get a little bit better. I just got to get a little bit better." And then it can kind of like keep pushing you up into like new categories. Are you a 90% player?
2:09:4495% player 99 99999 99999 you know there could be some fun stuff there right right okay sorry I get I I like numbers too I'm a big number guy dude I love one two three you know like all of them yeah all [laughter] all the numbers all the numbers are great name a number I like I don't have a favorite so uh okay so
2:10:11so that could be fun potentially I can see myself. The only part is obviously if it resets you you start off at level one. I don't know what is is 60 the max for WoW forever.
2:10:30Uh yes, it'll be 60.
2:10:32Is it Is it still like classic WoW 2005 leveling?
2:10:36Uh kind of. They added a bunch of quests and stuff, but like it's it's basically the same thing.
2:10:41Okay. Okay. So, you have like a a pretty long window before you're actually into a competitive state.
2:10:48I I would say well, they're not even putting the raid they're going to put the raids out in December. So, it's come it comes out November 4th and then in December 9th, I think they said they're going to put up the the raids. So, they're giving it like a month before uh anybody can even raid.
2:11:02Oh, that's awesome though. That's kind of fun because that means you can kind of build up a character, do all this.
2:11:06And if you want to build these type of plugins, I think this is totally a doable plugin. Uh because most these things you can just like ask like, hey, where do I get, you know, the parsing scores for WoW forever. There might just be an online resource. I bet you your community will know of an online resource and you'll be able to just like get those values. Okay, how do I store those values in Lua? Okay, how do I read out those values in Lua? How am I doing?
2:11:31And then you could have like some sort of bar that's showing you how close you are to getting into competitive range. You could even do some pretty fun like brackets to show like, hey, are you dragging your team down? Especially if they can all share values. I bet you then could really like do something pretty cool there.
2:11:46Oh yeah. Yeah. It's like like compared to the rest of your raid like how are you performing?
2:11:50Yeah. Yeah. Because then you could really just like see in the raid like, "Hey man, [laughter] hey yo, actually that's a totally toxic idea, but it's going to be like, yo, bro, dude, why he's so horrible?"
2:12:02Yeah. Yeah, man. Yeah. I mean, I I think stuff like that's really fun. I feel like I So, I'm one of those people that is like I'm very um I feel like you just have to find a group of people that want to play the game the way that you want to play because there's a lot of people that just like super not into that and they're just like trying to do it and just whatever happens happens.
2:12:22And then there's people that are like hardcore speedrun, whatever. Yeah.
2:12:25So, for me, like I'm one of those people that like I I do I I like picking the niche thing that is like maybe it's not the best, maybe it's not the most like, you know, highest performing thing on its own, but I like to make that weird thing that I chose that like feels good, make that the highest performing thing that I can, which is that's why like the parsing is interesting because like doing like Warcraft logs and trying to get high on there because it compares you to other other people playing your same class and spec. That's why that's why that's particularly fun for for me.
2:12:53you. Oh, I mean having your own local one will also just show how well you're doing against yourself, which is probably more interesting in some sense because you're like, "Dude, I know I can do better. Like, I I should be able to achieve this band. Here we go. Like, what am I missing?"
2:13:07Yeah. Okay. Um, give me a second real quick. I'm going to run to the bathroom real quick.
2:13:13I'll be right back. Yeah.
2:13:15All right. All right. As fans chat, what's going on? Do you guys like this stuff?
2:13:23Tell me about yourself. It's pee time.
2:13:28Do you guys like Do you like Do you guys like numbers?
2:13:33I'm gay. Okay, nice. Welcome. You guys big fan of the pee pe. Is that what I'm saying? Dude, I I honestly kind of seems like you guys are big pee fans. Dude, how did you like Dude, did you install WoW on your Linux? Yeah, I did.
2:13:50Okay. You want me to That's Oh, what?
2:13:53What is this? Hold on. Okay. Okay. I'm sorry to say this, but after this stream, there's going to be about 13 versions of the add-on before Sven find times to make it. Of course. Of course.
2:14:01But it's it's great. Like, honest. I mean, I'm sure Sven would be happy about that, but also it kind of seems like part of the fun of making something is the process of learning how to make something, right? So, sometimes you just got to enjoy the actual thing. So, even if somebody else makes it, like I made my own little Questy and now I kind of want to make my own little Questy better, right? I can uh click this thing and look, I have my own little guy. And so it's just like, okay, is there a way to be able to make it so that I can get this to actually like interact and
2:14:29search for bores? Maybe it can't. I don't know what like live data you get, but it'd be really fun to be able to like have it search for stuff and kind of give you some hints. You know what I mean?
2:14:42It's just fun. You can just do it. Did you ever see uh the overlord add? No. I am like super green when it comes to um to Warcraft. Why is Daniel D. Lewis? Oh my gosh, guys. Don't call me. Okay, just Okay, I for what? One second.
2:15:02One second. I put up this thing on the board and now I swear every single time there I do not get a day that goes by without being called Daniel D. Lewis. Uh you can see what's within range of name plates. Okay. So there you go.
2:15:19Exactly. This is such a cool idea right there. So you can kind of track some of that stuff. Uh you can Yes. You can get data out of the client. So we could use So I mean really like if you wanted more live stuff or kind of cool stuff to do.
2:15:32The new Discord feature is clearly an attack vector, right? It's clearly an attack vector to be able to go and make the data go back and forth. And so to me, this is just like totally the best.
2:15:43Do you like full stack? Uh, I love full stack webdev and wow. Yeah, this is going to be fun. And so for those that don't know, I can kind of break it down pretty easily with that. But I mean, obviously the one thing I don't know, actually before we do that, oh my gosh, that was such a good I don't know if you saw that. I ended on like that line ended really good. Honestly, vertical lines need a little bit more work than the horizontal. It's just who I am, you know.
2:16:08All right, let's see. Yes. Wows link uh guild the discord channel. You can send chat messages. Oh my gosh.
2:16:23Oh man. But the real question is a few limits. A discord must be enabled. Your account must be authorized and the guild channel must be linked. Discord handles link and settings. It exposes no general purpose message sender for arbitrary Discord channels. Okay, that's a problem. Automatic sending. Uh still need gain test. Uh, can you read the Discord channel uh programmatically?
2:16:45I spelled that wrong, but you got it. You know, you get close enough. Uh, it's the new official feature with Discord. Wow. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Well, if you could if you can read programmatically and send programmatically, you have a socket because that also means like I have right now on my Discord server, I can say, "Hey, robot, fix this feature for me for how we keep track of YouTube videos."
2:17:13You can just do that. Which means I can be playing WoW and sending messages and keeping and and kicking off 90%. You can't. Okay. Okay. Well, that seems stupid. 90% you can't. Well, shut up. Okay. Well, this one says, "Yes, an add-on can receive messages from Linked. [laughter] We're about to get beta cooked." All right.
2:17:41You could, by the way, you can receive messages programmatically via a linked uh guild Discord channel. So, there is definitely something pretty fun there you could do. You could definitely have something where all the guild members could install this add-on, all be dumping to a specific channel and you reading it and you could actually have your player within the guild and having maybe its parse values be competitive within your guild.
2:18:06So that way it's like you still kind of get this like more fun globally experience without like you know you can make maybe the assumption that your guild's not going to be filled with cheaters.
2:18:16Or sort of not filled with cheaters, right? Like so you can get like you can definitely there's something pretty fun you could do there to see what's going on.
2:18:24See I I do want to do um only thanks saved.
2:18:29I I want to I want to do like a fun guild add-on. Like I've thought about this a little bit like doing some kind of like guild add-on for my WoW guild whenever it launches here in a couple weeks. So, I wonder if there's like like a crusade guild something or another like a guild like like a companion add-on for the guild where we can have like additional stuff in there, but I don't know exactly what features I want just yet.
2:18:53Um, yeah, there's a lot of testing you'd want to do. Definitely see if like I mean the big thing is can you first get it set up and then we could try some stuff. Uh, if you get it set up where you can do I assume there's JSON parsing. If you can get JSON parsing, I mean, the world's your oyster at that point. You could have a Discord robot that monitors YouTube, uh, Twitch, X, Kick, whatever streaming platform you're on. Pump them all as messages with with
2:19:22JSON, and then you could have your own Twitch chat tracker right there within World of Warcraft since you can read messages because it looks like you can read. It just seems like you can totally do that.
2:19:33Yeah, that's what they're saying. And so if that's the case, you could have like your own guild chat with all the different uh every single message being sent is some sort of JSON style one. And then if one's not a JSON style, it's just somebody sending messages, right? Like there's like a whole crazy set of things you could do.
2:19:50Um yeah, so it's not you just can't do with arbitrary Discord channels.
2:19:56Let me this let me let me go I'm gonna I'm gonna link my Discord to forever right now.
2:20:02Yeah. and just see what happens if I go.
2:20:06Yeah, I don't know what during wild's chat restrictions message content can become a secret value preventing add-ons from parsing it or making decisions from it. Yeah, so that's kind of interesting.
2:20:15So definitely chat restrictions. So that's probably during combat. It probably does have like a chat restriction, which is fine. Like if you're just trying to be competitive or stuff, you're going to be in and out of combat, but it'd be best if you could keep on doing it.
2:20:28It also has get messages before. Okay, it could this could be cool. I don't know. But there's definitely so many cool ideas you could build right here just by having a live channel, by having a socket. Sockets make the world fun. Why is this this being weird? I keep getting I'm getting like a weird UI error right now.
2:20:54Yes. During it's during the Oh, during combat. Okay. So, if it if it's if it's blocked during combat, that that's always a little sad. So, but that means you you you would have to just like keep track of all your logs and then afterwards it can just auto push up. I'm done. Sign into Discord. Connect to Battleet.
2:21:27If you're on Linux, you can probably just use key keystroke and mouse fence. You could really just track it completely on the outside, but that's probably a little bit different authenticator.
2:21:52Nice. So, I could play Doom while making 500 rune cloth bolts. My guess, like honestly, my guess is that you could easily go to uh you know, Doom. I think there there's even like Doom asky. You could because it's just replacing the renderer. I bet you you could do Yo, port this to Lua. Boom. You got you got yourself Doom.
2:22:17Well, well, whatever.
2:22:20Lua Doom. Yeah, I don't see why not. I mean, Doom could run on a what 16 mehz computer? Pretty sure it should be able to run in Lua now. See, it's now connected. Oh, wow. Okay.
2:22:37In real time it Okay. Um, so enable Discord functionality. So my Discord is now linked. But what does that do?
2:22:46That I don't know. you have uh there's an event called chat message guild the discord and that's where you have to like link a specific channel apparently there's like a guild channel so you'll have to figure that out
2:23:13voice channel test microphone test test microphone Ah, I test for service. Okay. Preferred service. Use Discord in-game voice Discord. Use World of Warcraft's built-in voice chat powered by Discord when you're the group leader. You can link your Discord account to inherent Discord keybind and volume settings. Other players do not require a Discord account to join.
2:23:35Oh, that's just for voice stuff, right?
2:23:39There's something that allows you to do the actual It's in the guild leader settings is what Chief Mango says. I mean, he is the chief.
2:23:52Let's see. Let me You can do some level racing. Level racing could be fun.
2:24:04Oh, there we go. There's uh see what do we got here. Okay, nice. My gosh, I have way too many links open. I'm just going to send it. Oh, nice. Okay, you can send links in your chat. You know, some people have those disabled. I like to let people send it because you never know what kind of link you're going to get.
2:24:27Yeah, I know for sure. Um you say it's like a it's like a Russian roulette of links.
2:24:32Yeah, you never know. It could be great. Some of the best things that have ever happened were were from link cell.
2:24:40So guild leader setting. Let me see this.
2:24:46It's the best. It's the worst.
2:24:50Uh Guild settings.
2:25:09Oh, let me hide the screen. Discord server. Oh, it looks like it's not fully implemented yet.
2:25:18Okay, because it because Oh, wait. No, hold on. It was just I'm in so many servers. It just took forever. Oh my gosh. Okay. Um All right. Let's just do a quick make link.
2:25:53Okay. My Ashes of uh my Ashes of We'll do the Ashes of Creation Discord. We'll use Uh, general and what do I Okay, up does it. Okay, oh, is there up rotates? That's just the worst.
2:26:13I'll do Okay, so I'm going to link this.
2:26:15Oh, I just drop it space. Oh, and up.
2:26:19Separate Discord chat from guild chat.
2:26:22I can only I can only rotate one direction. I don't know if I can get used to Okay, there we go. We can we can figure this out. Can I store something?
2:26:29How do I store it?
2:26:36Ah, see, while you're doing that, I I did a quick game of Tetris in WoW.
2:26:44Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
2:26:46I'm Okay. I'm learning how to how to link my Discord and and you put Tetris in WoW.
2:26:52Yeah. It's because it's I mean, it's the power of AI. It just does. This this is like the most This is the most trained on game of all time. Think about how much information they have on this. This this singular game has to be disgustingly uh whatever they call it distilled from the internet.
2:27:14But that's sick though. You could you could you could just be doing Tetris while you're uh crafting.
2:27:19Yeah. While you're crafting, while you're on a flight path, you do Tetris.
2:27:21Yeah. Tetris. There you go.
2:27:22I know. I know. They had Pegle. They used to they used to have a pegle add-on you in the older version in like the old classic API. They've just been blocked. Oh no.
2:27:34Yeah. No. No. You can you can still play it. It just says you just it just they give you a chance to ignore it. So then I can go in here and then there you go.
2:27:41Uh-huh. Then we're ready.
2:27:49Oh, interesting. Okay. So, I'm in this Ashes of Creation or sorry, like my my old guild, Ashes of Creation Discord, like my like we made a guild for Ash of Creation for the beta.
2:28:01And whenever I type anything in guild chat, it shows up here, but it'll say, you know, so and so will like so and so posts has sent a message to Guild Chat, but has not yet linked their Discord account. So, it doesn't actually show, but it just it just logs it. [music] But I wonder if we can pull it like like go backwards.
2:28:22Well, now I mean so you can here. Can you show it? Send a message and let me see this.
2:28:27Hold on. Let me let me do this. I have I have way too many windows open right now. Where's my Discord? Oh, this is my Discord, dude. Okay, that that was a I was going I was grinding for Grand Marshall. I was going for rank 14. Okay, I was in the middle of I'm not Hey, I'm not out here. I'm not out here judging.
2:28:58Hello. I'm typing in guild chat and then and then it shows me asband. This message was sent from the game World of Warcraft.
2:29:12Okay. So ask it to make a plugin where you have an option in some sort of menu to say hi and it'll say hi into happy free ass but field chat. Can you go that direction?
2:29:23Oh my gosh, it does.
2:29:24Oh, I didn't see it.
2:29:25It goes backwards. Hold on. Let me uh look at this. Look at my look at my on screen chat.
2:29:30I There's two of them. Oh, right here with the with the Discord icon. Sorry. Yeah, that was probably Oh my gosh. you can do. Okay, so now the the question is again, can you get it via the add-on?
2:29:43If you can get it via the add-on, so apparently the add-on does have something called um uh what are the Discord uh events? So, there is a blocks time. So, during combat, you can't get Discord messages. It looks like there's like they they they show up as secret values. At least that's what people are saying. But there's going to be some basic Discord messages. So you found eight of eight eight events with Discord in their name.
2:30:07So there's chat message guild discord. So there you go. Like that's really all you need to do is wait. That's that's amazing. People can be talking about something in in guild in game and you could be let's say I'm not at my computer and I'm you know I'm just like oh okay like this thing's going on. People get let me see. Okay.
2:30:28You could then chat to people in there, but you could you could definitely whip out something right here and see if you can get uh get a message into the to the add-on because if you can send and receive messages on the add-on itself, you can build you can build anything. You can build anything. Like you got you got everything. So like that's that's the place.
2:30:53Man, I wish you could p if you could ping somebody from guild chat and then they get the notification on their phone, that would have been amazing.
2:31:01Oh, did you try sending it through? Did it work?
2:31:07Oh, yeah. Okay, that makes sense. I can see that being kind of a pain in the I mean, actually, you could build that. You could totally build that in your chat. type in like bang ping the person's name inside of Warcraft chat and then and then it'll well no you could have something that parses the Discord chat that sees that and then pings that person.
2:31:33Oh yeah another Yeah. Yeah. So you could have you could make a separate Discord bot.
2:31:37Yes. the like I said the moment you can interact with the socket the amount of amazing things that are available just becomes great.
2:31:49Yeah. So any Okay, so anytime Oh, this is going to be so cool. Okay, so you can make like a a Discord. you can make. Okay, so I was talking about like a guild like companion add-on where it can read maybe maybe you all of the alts like let's say I have six characters and they all link to one Discord account. So what's your what's your Discord username? mine
2:32:17and we we manually put it in and then anytime that person types, we we have to find a way to sync that to like a bot somehow and like like a Discord bot that will just constantly be like parsing the the general chat, the guild chat, and then if they see an at it like alerts it to be like, okay, if it says like at, you know, voltages or any of Voltage's characters, yeah,
2:32:45it knows, hey, They typed at whatever the character is and then that character is linked to this Discord account and then it automatically says at voltages you were pinged by Sband which is or something like that.
2:32:58But yeah, I think I think it'd be sick.
2:33:03I'm I'm like this is like super exciting to me. The fact that the fact that you could like kind of just like daisy chain different integrations.
2:33:10Yes, there's a lot of integrations you could totally chain. The hard part is it's saying that they're it's they're saying that there's some level of restriction here.
2:33:18It's marked with has restriction and restricted for macro chat messages. Uh the source doesn't fully specify how those restrictions apply to guild uh Discord. So you can't you may not be able to automatically send messages, but you might be able to automatically receive messages. So it can listen to this.
2:33:39[clears throat] Yeah. See, I So you could definitely do something pretty fun with this. Now the sending through might not be the same level, right?
2:34:01Yeah, I've heard about this whole business right here. Okay, let me see this. I'm gonna I'm gonna hide screen real quick in case there's a leak of some sort. I don't even know how it would happen, but some kind of magical leak. Um,
2:34:34copy user ID in game. You add the brackets and then add user ID. So, how would we how do I get that user ID because every every Discord user has like a a numerical ID attached to them, right?
2:34:51Yeah. If you created a bot, you could find you could definitely have something that allows uh players to do like link and then they can just say like the Warcraft name and then it could do something even further.
2:35:02Like if you want two-step verification, you could then have it be like, "Okay, type type this letter, you know, type this number as the player." Then you type the number as the player and it's like, "Okay, hard linked. You are that person, right?"
2:35:13So you could Okay. So yeah. Yeah. Here's here's the I mean I just do copy profile and I just pasted it into a like browser and then you should I mean you should be able to set this all up automatically with uh Discord bots because Discord bots can read chat and so you should you'll just have to I have never built a Discord bot. I just know that they have pretty much every permission. I know that robots are really good at building that.
2:35:42So you should be able to do that pretty quickly. You have to set up your account as a So I did I did I did bracket at the the number ID and then it worked. It it it tagged him.
2:36:00Okay, that's that's kind of nutty. I didn't realize you could do that. Okay, that's [laughter] that's crazy.
2:36:06Yeah, you you got to do it in brackets. So boom boom boom at doom boom. Enter.
2:36:14Was that easy to follow? Boom. At doom boom.
2:36:16Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I was right [laughter] there. Right there with you.
2:36:21Okay. So, you can go pretty far. I mean, obviously memorizing every person's number. I I bet you Hold on. Um, can you read uh chat uh as someone types it from, let's see, from a add-on? Because theoretically, you could have an add-on that can automatically replace it. So, when you type in at voltages, it goes, "Oh, okay. That's one one Uh-huh. Uh-huh.
2:36:46Your own typing. Yes.
2:36:48Okay. Here. Uh, make a plugin that every time I uh type uh I s it types in 1111111 or it replaces SAN with There we go.
2:37:06Because that's really what you're trying to do, right?
2:37:12Now I'm just super curious because if you do that, you could just [laughter] start ping them straight through.
2:37:18Yeah, it's funny because like I was I was thinking when we when we were talking about doing this, I was like, man, we can make like a fun like, you know, something something kind of fun and goofy and now it's like this whole like, you know, drawn out like whole guild. Uh, yeah.
2:37:33Kind of like that social network with your guild. Yeah.
2:37:35How many people have uh their own WoW add-on called Sband Replace? Okay. I This is a one of one right now.
2:37:45All right, let's try this. Okay. Uh let's go like this. S fan.
2:37:55Oh no. You could Yep. You got this. There you go. That's all you got to do.
2:38:00Oh my gosh. You can make an add-on that that changes the text whatever he's [laughter] doing.
2:38:05So you could just like you could you can literally just have something that I mean you could even ask your bot like hey update my names list with this. You could have the Discord bot generate you new ones. You could actually have you could just be like hey ping the bot give me and send it back down. I mean you could set this all up to where it's all like remote communicable and you could just have it update your file system right away so that anyone you want to update with it knows exactly how to do that. Apparently, this is already a
2:38:31thing. They call it guild ping. There you go. Yeah, it's the exact same thing. There it is right there.
2:38:40But you can make this all automat. You can make it way more automatic, which I think would be a lot nicer.
2:38:45Yeah, because you just have to have like some sort of uh companion program or something that could just like But yeah, this is just a Lu file. Like I said, that you can make whatever you want in the LUI file and then the LU file just works. And so there you go. frick, [laughter] dude. I like my my freaking the wheels are turning. The wheels are turning now.
2:39:07So, I'm I'm just thinking about, man, like how many different things.
2:39:11There you go. This is beautiful. You I mean, the the world is really whatever you want to do with it.
2:39:17Yeah. So, you can even you can even ping rolls this way. They say they're saying you can't ping channels, but you can ping rolls apparently. So, if you can ping rolls, everybody who has like a certain raid group roll. Hey, nice.
2:39:28You know, raid four at raid three.
2:39:31Yeah, that's good. That's good.
2:39:38it's is scary realizing how much could be going on under the hood when downloading random add-ons for the game. Yes, but also like I I think it's like pretty locked down. Yeah, because you can you can have like Discord messages just to the guild.
2:39:55[laughter] So, it's, you know, that's that's fairly locked down. Like, the best thing they could do is I mean, I guess what could you even steal? I'm just like just trying to think of because you you can't load anything.
2:40:09It's the companion apps that run outside of World of Warcraft that you really do have to be careful of cuz anytime you just like run a program, that program can do anything to your system. like it really can read everything other than like it may not be able to delete your Windows files because those are probably protected behind some sort of admin privilege or pseudo I don't know what it's called on Windows pseudo privileges uh but everything else like if you just have an environment file that has your tokens has whatever and you just run it people just have scan there's something called truffle hog they'll just scan
2:40:38your file system find your secrets take them and run away with them so be a little careful you know chat I know my chat knows what they're doing okay it's a bunch of nerds over here but you know Be careful. Careful. Like don't just run any companion side side running app.
2:40:54Yeah. No, my chat's they're they're my chats nerds too. They al they're like either they're either nerds or sports guys. It's just it's one or the other.
2:41:06So So sports guys, that's like uh someone just taking your creatin. Like you don't want that. Okay. That's like that sucks, dog.
2:41:15Okay. So, oh my gosh, this is this is going to turn into a whole project now.
2:41:22But this will I mean if if we 100% like knew how everything works like the the entire API like the back of our hand, this is probably something you could just whip up very quickly.
2:41:35Well, you just got to know it's limitations really. You don't even have to know the API because let robot know that. Just know the limitations. You just have to find out what messages are you allowed or not allowed to send on Discord because you could also just start making the most insane things you've ever wanted. You want to make your own Pokemon trading card game, throw it in there. You got a Discord trading thing. You could start like trading with other players and doing stuff like there's like a whole thing you could do, right?
2:41:58Yeah, you could do anything.
2:42:00Okay. So, so if we I got to go be with my kids though. They just got home and so it's time for me to go hang out with the kiddos.
2:42:12I feel like this is something that we should we should definitely table because this is a whole thing.
2:42:18Yeah. This is this is a whole whole thing. So I think I think this is something we should definitely table and Yeah, we'll we'll we'll keep working on this down the road or something. We got we got to figure something out but because I think I do think this could be really cool.
2:42:36Um are you uh are you leaving now? Yep. I'll leave now. I'll just raid you out.
2:42:40Uh, okay. Yeah. Cool. Thank you.
2:42:43It's TV. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yes.
2:42:47Television. Television. Uh, I don't know if the app. Do you need the app, dude? It's It should let you do the That's how you tag people.
2:42:55You would think, why are you doing this to me?
2:42:56You know, there's so many problems with with Twitch's UI. You like just the UX, everything. I I swear there's so many little things that it's like, why not just know what you mean? I'm going to be putting at there. You know, it's, you know, that you're putting in a username at that point.
2:43:14And usernames can't start with at. This is not the world's most impossible problem. I feel like we could do this.
2:43:21Right. Right. Well, dude, I I appreciate I appreciate you coming on. This was fun.
2:43:26This was super fun. No, I mean, I'm always down to do stuff. I mean, I was telling about the water tower last year and and how how fun that was. And Yeah. And thank you for the raid. But yeah, no, it was super super fun.
2:43:39Appreciate you. Hey, thanks for letting me come on. Thanks for letting me Yeah, for a little bit. I haven't been streaming a whole bunch, so this was a lot of fun. Fun to be back. I think it's my first stream in like three weeks. So, super stoked.
2:43:49Yeah. Yeah. Are you Are you going to get back to it or you going to give yourself a a I think I'll go probably another six months. Probably no more streaming, [laughter] which kind of sucks, but uh you know.
2:44:00Yeah. Yeah. Like on like Oh, you're joking.
2:44:02No, I'm not joking. I don't like making YouTube videos. I've never liked it.
2:44:07Like, it's not the thing that I'm most excited about. And somehow that is the thing I now do full-time as opposed to the thing I want to do, which is streaming, right? Is it is it just because of your throat right now?
2:44:17Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
2:44:19Man, I know. Well, I hope I hope you get better soon, dude.
2:44:24Yeah, 100%. All right, dude. Go uh go have fun. And uh thanks again for for coming hang out, man.
2:44:33This was a lot of fun. I I had no idea what we were going to get into at first. I was like, man, there's not a lot of stuff we can do. But that Discord stuff, you got I mean, it now just went from like a little thin thing.
2:44:45Then the the DPS tracking against yourself was pretty fun, but then if you go into the Discord, oh my gosh, you got you got infinity. You got so much fun stuff.
